I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar physical anxiety symptoms as me. I've had anxiety since 7th grade, and for the longest time I've experienced this pressure or tension in my solar plexus, even when all my other muscles are relaxed. Its completely involuntary and I can't control it. It just feels like some kind of muscle or nerve in my solar plexus is uncontrollably seizing up for literally no reason. There's no pain, but just feels like a huge knot of constant tension.
I've been struggling with this feeling ever since 8th grade. I know it's a symptom of anxiety, but it never goes away. I just feel so exhausted and defeated after living with this weight for so long. Do you know anything about this symptom? Please help.
Also, focusing on my breath makes it even worse....
I’ve read the response on your other post and agree with what was said. Sounds like parts of your body are in a regular state of tension. Take comfort that obviously it isn’t from a sinister cause. Have you tried professional massage? I did have awful pain years ago in my upper back, wrapping around to my chest and after 3 massages, it finally felt a lot better, after having bothered me nonstop for months. Other than that, what has your doctor said about it over the years?
Thanks for the advice. I haven't asked the doctor about it yet since I know its just anxiety, but I'm finally trying to get a therapist after all these years..... I think that will help a lot
