hi.
I'm never been to a professional or anything like it. But i'm pretty sure i have something, been dealing with depression all my life and anxiety is a new develovment (not surprising, a lot of people in my family have anxiety) I've been wanting to cut myself, ususally I only punch my face and arms. I thought my depression was gone forever, but then I started with symptoms of anxiety, and I'm so tired, I think i'm relapsing with my depression. I'm so done.
Could use some advice.

Welcome to the forum. Cutting is never a good thing. Best to avoid that one if you can. Punching yourself is not much better. Buy a punchbag or something similar and punch that instead.

With depression it is easier to fall down than it is to get back up. I like to tell people to always remember the good times in their lives. It shows you can have them. That is were you want to get back to again. To those good days. It does take work. Pushing yourself along when you feel like doing nothing at all. But it is always worth when you do even something small. Then reward yourself. Nothing big. Just by way of saying ' I done it '. Case of never say never. There is always a road back.

I learned recently about the emotional spiral chart- here’s an image: https://www.google.com/search?q=emotional+spiral+chart&rlz=1C9BKJA_enUS899US899&hl=en-US&prmd=isvn&sxsrf=ALeKk024gtfdbXBagef8wkPOOpl9d5ZeVg:1608566396398&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiYlp7luN_tAhXCdN8KHajDBDAQ_AUoAXoECBcQAQ&biw=1366&bih=905#imgrc=GNIQxm5umyL8WM

It can be really nice to mark where you are. Like even getting to anger or boredom is a step up the ladder. Hope that helps! If it doesn’t make sense lmk.

I have experienced that as well. Usually one little thing would set me off… it's not so bad now. I agree with Cuchculan… everything helps, especially receiving encouragement from others and yourself.
