I have worked for the same company for 9.5 years and called in 3 times. 1 I was SICK. 2. My 17 year old cat passed away. 3. Had severe vertigo . I worked 2 hours yesterday and couldn't work today due to ANXIETY. How have I allowed this monster back into my life???? Trying SO hard to be normal.

Anxiety is a monster no doubt about it. All of us are battling. Are there any problems at work or with your boss? Stay strong and remember what measures have helped you in the past. It will get better.

There are times when we can lock the anxiety away. Nothing happens for a long time. The subconscious mind still stores a lot of things we might have imagined were gone. One trigger can kick start the anxiety off again. That does not mean it has to stay with us. It could just be a setback. These are things we all have. It is now all about how we deal with the setback. If we fear the worst and let the anxiety back into our life full time it will gladly stay around. It we recognise it as a setback, A once off event that doesn't have to happen again, we can return to how we were before the setback. Think of how good you were doing. That is were you want to be. That is were you can be. See it as a setback. Try not to get frustrated with yourself over this. Don't feel angry. I know it can be annoying. See it as a setback only. One you can move on from and get back to where you were at.
