For those of you who don’t know. I’m a 24 yr old female who is terrified of brain aneurysms. The heart anxiety has gone down a bit but the more I get headaches the more I keep fearing I’m going to die of a ruptured brain aneurysm. I got a CT scan about a week ago which has given me some reassurance (no abnormalities) but I know 6 months from now, I’m going to want another one. Feeling a headache coming on tonight. It’s too early to take my clonazepam to calm me down. Is there out there that can talk? I keep feeling like they missed something. Why do I keep getting headaches.

I have heart anxiety. I feel even though they told me things are ok they must of missed something or they could be wrong. I haven't felt right and I continue to have the pain in my chest. They all think its anxiety and to some degree I believe it but also why the pain all the time even when I dont feel anxious. Anyway I really think you are fine if you had the scan. I get headaches now quite often which is new for me. Could be the constant stressing about the unknown causing them. Best wishes.

Jennycard,

I definitely know what you l are going through. I have had anxiety worrying about many different terrible diseases over the past ten years or so and it is exhausting and it is truly difficult because after a while people become dismissive and it can in turn become difficult to confide in someone when that happens. Its great that you are reaching out for support on a forum such as this one.

Its good that you have had a ct scan and had your physical symptoms checked out to be sure that there are no emergency issues. The scan came back clean so that is a relief. Are you aware that stress and anxiety are very common causes of headaches? I really wasnt until i started to experience them and went through something similar to what you are going through now. I have had fears such as a tumor or aneurysm in the past. Stress is a big culprit of headaches. I know its tough but remember that there are many causes to headaches and while we always gravitate toward the worst case scenario that the far far more likely cause is something minor in comparison like stress, tension, or anxiety. Its amazing what our bodies can do and the symptoms that anxiety can be masked behind.

You had a clean ct scan, this is good, there are no issues that point to your fears but many indications to point to anxiety as the root cause. you can overcome these irrational feelings, i know its tough, take it one day at a time and stay off google.

Thank you so much!! Although I just found out today that my CT scan only shows if there’s bleeding. Not if I have an aneurysm to begin with! Now I’m even more freaked out!
