Where to begin? I'm 43 and have been dealing with HA most my adult life. The latest worry is my heart. It has sent me to my gp and the emergency room so far. I currently have no insurance and am on a fixed budget as my husband pretty much lost his job because of my health worries. Medicaid won't take us because he makes too much on unemployment. (Yeah right) So this has prevented me from seeing a cardiologist and I feel that if I did, maybe I could get more specific answers to what is going on with my heart. And so, I suffer through each day, trying to be normal for my children, trying to be functional for my family. That is why I came here. With hopes of hearing similar stories and finding some support. So, hello all.

We've already become acquatined, but again, welcome. :D Assistance programs and Medicaid and such have some crazy income caps / restrictions. I know people who get government assistance and work a full time job, while I know others who are down on their luck with virtually no income and "they don't qualify." What a joke!

I sure hope we can help you keep your anxiety at bay. We're glad to help, and I think said before, but we do have a great group here. :)

Yes! skipped right over introductions and went straight to "HELP ME"!!:D I thought I better follow the rules and make a proper introduction. And you and others have been so kind and supportive. It has really helped me get through some tough moments these last few days.
It really is ridiculous, and I feel horrible for being the main cause of my husband's losing his job. He says it is alright and he will find another job but he had it for 4 years and it's just embarrassing and now I'm sure I am driving him crazy with my constant fears. I'm hoping to make some calls to some local cardiologists to see if any take payments and go from there.
Thank you for being so welcoming and kind. It has made such a big difference knowing people out there do care and there is still kindness alive and well in the world!

Welcome to the forum. Heart worries are a very common thing on here. Think if we listed the top 10 major worries, the heart would be about number 2 or 3. Understandable with anxiety sufferers. Our hearts can beat a good bit faster at times. Other times we might have skipped heartbeats. Which can send some people running to the hospital. All par for the course with anxiety. no need to tell you to make yourself at home here on the forum. You seem to have done that part already. :p Go on you rebel. Any roads, no doubt I will see you in the odd thread or two here and there.

Lol thank you much! I have been on other forums and just complained about my worries, got reassurance, and then skipped out. Always felt wrong. Now, being older and wiser ;) I feel I could benefit from having some support and likewise offering some where I can. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods!

Have done the whole forum scene myself. Nothing worse than having to make that newbie post. :p Or begin over at zero posts again. You are here now. Let us see how long we can keep you here.
@bin_tenn you grab one of her arms and I will grab the other one. That way she can't escape this place. LOL

Haha indeed. Cuch and I may live an ocean away (close to 4,000 miles) but we've been hanging together for years in anxiety forums. Haha. Good guy, he is. Always like to see him around. :D

I think Bin is chatting me up. LOL. Only reason I stuck around here is because I saw he was a member. A name I knew from other forums. Is always good when that happens. A name you know you can trust as well. Jesus man. We are sounding a bit gay here. Speaking as we are about each other. Puts his handbag away and runs out of this post. :p

Oh, you're not...g...

Hahaha jkjk. But yeah, seriously, it's always nice to see familiar faces. The first forum I met Cuch on disappeared. I eventually found this place, and it was cool to see him, as well as some others I knew from before. :p

I am a heart worrier as well. Welcome to the community. When I came here a couple years ago, it helped so much. Now the anxiety is back and so am I. Everyone is so helpful and reassuring here. I think you will find it comforting to talk with others that have similar worries and fears.

I'm sorry your anxiety is back. I was good for almost two years now, but it always comes back. Everyone has been awesome and I am thankful for the advice and suggestions! Thank you for the warm welcome :)

I wonder just how prevalent heart health anxiety is here on the forum. I know of a good handful, including myself, but I wonder how many others also have it. This is still the exclusive cause of my bouts with health anxiety. I got over everything else I ever worried irrationally about. Not sure why I can't completely let go of the heart fears.

Dear Jen, This is so me all the time when my Anxiety is high. I have gone to go get tests and they all have come back with no problem, but with all the sensations of hearing my heart, heart beating fast, skipping beats, severe tiredness, checking my pulse, it all adds up to fear. Im sure its heart failure. Thankfully things change and my mind stops racing and I try and have friends and family get my mind off it by thinking of them and there needs. You have kids, you're extremely busy. You have a lot going on. I could discuss on and on about all kinds of Anxiety I have had and it went away. Thankfully it has always gone away.

Awe, thank you for this. It always helps to hear when others have gone or are going through this. Helps me feel a little less over the edge! I definitely am pretty busy. 3 little ones under the age of 11. All being homeschooled due to COVID on top of everything else. It has been quite a school year! Your reply is very much appreciated

You are so busy! Homeschooling would be so hard for me. My kids are all grown, but what a job you are having to do. Has covid made you worry more or are you just sick of all of it at this point? Covid got so political its just so strange. Anxiety to me is so much more difficult then covid every could be. I hope you can hold your babies and feel there love and get through this. I bet you are so tired too.

I was terrified at first. Thankful my kids were home and potentially out of harms way. Then, I started to take comfort in the fact I had an excuse for my family to be home; for me to stay home. I suffer from social anxiety as well, though not on as large a scale as hypochondria. It really did become so political and tiresome. It seems to have made some individuals downright mean! That's the hardest part for me, is trying to put on a brave face for the kids while I'm getting through this. I do see a light at the end of the tunnel. Finding this forum and all of you is part of it! And I agree that anxiety is a much harder struggle than COVID has ever been!

It really has made some people so mean. I had someone come up to me at the store and tell me I wasn't following the arrows on the floor. I am so happy this forum helps. I just signed up couple of days ago and it really helps me that Im not alone in this super hard thing. I have had anxiety before so bad, but it went away with doing things outside. The sun is super helpful. I live in Nevada where sun is here most days. Do you get fatigue with your anxiety? So many difficult symptoms. I hope you can feel better soon. It really is so hard.
