So I'm worried. Earlier I posted about my heart skipping beats. Now at first I wasn't as worried. Still worried but not as much, it didn't happen as often. Then I got to work. I swear my heart was skipping beats like 5-6 times an hour. It was so scary! I know its not supposed to skip that often in a day or at all. I'm just so panicked and don't know what to do. What if somethings wrong? I literally had less than 30 mg of caffeine today. It shouldn't be like that.

Also I've been having other stuff going on. Is it okay to drink other things besides water? When I sweat a lot at work or something I don't get water, but lemonade. I rarely ever drink just plain water because I hate the taste. I don't want something to happen to me because of that.

Water is the best thing for you to drink. These drinks that they sale that taste so good well there is a reason why they taste so good " SUGAR" they are loaded with it. You can try 100 percent coconut water if you are looking for something that's really good for you and taste great. What you are feeling might not even be skips it could just be your imagination. A friend of mine went to the doctor thinking she was feeling skips she was hooked up to a heart holter monitor for a week and it didn't show any skips her heart was perfectly normal. Try to take a break from worrying you are young and healthy. The best thing for you to do is work on keeping it that way. Your body is your home if you want it to last a long time take care of it.

I'm sure you are fine. Anxiety is just kicking in. Just breathe and do some relaxation. Have you went to see a counselor yet?

Grace, I often feel irregular heartbeats and think along the same lines as you are. Each time it happens I panic and the anxiety flares up BUT each time it passes and I am absolutely fine!

Do you suffer from anxiety? Is this a new sensation for you or do you suffer from panic attacks?

Not true. The number (percentage) of abnormal beats per day that is clinically acceptable is unbelievably high, generally speaking. If you don't have a known heart abnormality / heart disease / etc, it's unlikely anything to worry about at all. I know it's uncomfortable, and I still feel anxious about it at times, but the reality is that it isn't so scary.

Nothing is going to happen to you because of that. I'm not kidding when I say I used to drink Pepsi like water, and IMO that's far worse than lemonade. I literally never drank water except on extremely occasions. I did that for a couple years or more, and I'm still fine. I do drink more water now, but the point is that I'm fine after all that time.

The heart skips beats more than you would think. Most of the time we don’t feel it. Hearts don’t beat perfectly all the time. Stuff like this happens. Next time see if you can just shrug it off as the normal occurrence it is. Tell yourself STOP if other thoughts creep in and then distract yourself if that doesn’t work. Worrying about every sensation you have is not helping your anxiety. Many have asked if you are seeking treatment. If you haven’t yet, you should do so as soon as possible. Everything you feel causes intrusive and catastrophic thoughts, you really do need to get help for this.

Trying to. It's hard to find therapy when I need a referral to do so.

Whilst waiting on referral list, try researching health anxiety yourself. It has definitely helped me control it more as I now understand that the feelings are just anxiety so I talk myself down and it also helps knowing so many others suffer from it and have found ways of coping so that gives us an indication there is light at the end of the tunnel!

I'm sorry you are having so much trouble. I wish the ER doctor would have been able to give you a referral.

He did, but he referred me to an adult neurologist. Then they rejected me to refer me to a pediatric neurologist.

I wonder if you couldn't do one of the online counseling? Some of them are like $19/ month
