Hello friends
In the next 8 months the wife myself and our 2 kids both teenagers will be moving away from Colorado to southern Arizona, Nevada or possibly Michigan.

Our state we live in is becoming way to crowded and overpriced, the average house here is over $500,000 usd way out of range for us.
I've lived in Arizona before so no big deal but my wife wants to move to Michigan as she has family there,I hate snow!
My family here isn't very supportive of the idea but we only see them when they need something or there is a get together which is rare.
I really want to make the move happen and start a new life I really want to start a new life elsewhere .
I'm going to be 40 in a couple years so I need to make this happen now or never.
Looking for encouragement from those who moved away from family.

I haven't moved away from family but just wanted to remind you to do what is right for you regardless of what the others say. You can always call or video chat with your family after you move. If you wish to stay in contact with your family perhaps remind them you are only a phone call away. Some people lose contact after they move so I'm wondering if they are more afraid of that versus you leaving the state.

My whole family moved away from me. It can be trying at times. Example. We broke down and didn't know who to call to come help. But, thankfully a good neighbor was available and those incidents aren't common. It's hard to be away from family but there is nothing wrong with taking care of you and your family. It can be a blessing in many ways! All the best in what you all decide!

I've moved away from my whole family. Moved from Arizona to Northern Idaho and don't know a single person. I've had no issues but can feel a little lonely. When I first moved and had a bit of separation anxiety at first.
