Today has been horrible, I was doing ok till I just ate dinner now my heart is beating fast and I feel weird. It's like recently any time I eat I get these crazy anxiety attacks. Am I making this happen cause I'm expecting it to happen? Anyone elses anxiety spike after eating? I've been going backwards in my recovery so fast lately! I hate it! I wish my mind would just accept it's anxiety and let me be at peace. But I Kno it doesn't work that way. I just have to push threw this.

IMO that's most likely. When we have a panic attack or heightened anxiety, that state of mind doesn't instantly return to a normal state. It's a process (anxiety), not a single moment. And in my experience, yes, the same or similar events will trigger anxiety for some period following the initial event. It's very normal for the heart rate to increase following a meal, so I think you mostly likely really do feel an increased rate, but the problem is that your anxious mind makes it something terrible when it's normal.

Anxiety recovery is not linear. You’ll still have anxious times.
I have the same thing especially after dinner and while I’m resting. I notice my heart rate. Very very common with anxiety. Hope you feel better soon

Yes after eating is a trigger for me too. I think it's because your body does change automatically after eating we're just super sensitive to any bodily functions and believe any change is something bad which also starts our anxiety. I get the sensation of palpitations and feel jittery and shakey, a bit nauseous or faint. Then usually the sense of impending doom, that something bad is about to happen. I have a needle phobia though so I no mine is my brain relating food to blood sugar and fearing I'm going to need to inject myself for life. Sounds silly when you say it out loud but I'm sure that where mine comes from!

Yes I feel really jittery and my heart races and I get this weird feeling over my body prolly doom feeling, and it's while I'm eating and right after. Lasts for a while after I'm done. Till I can calm myself down. I don't get allot of exercise either! I work from home and I'm sitting allot! Then when I get off I eat and go to bed. So I Kno I need more exercise and that's prolly hurting me as well. I need to get my heart healthier.

I could of wrote that in myself I totally understand. I set a timer in work today (also work from home) and every hour I got up and did something quick I needed to do around the house for 10mins. Not really exercise but I would usually sit for 6-8hours usually. I'm an illustrator so I'm always bent over my desk. I do find being home might be a trigger which is also weird as I'm quite introverted and don't mind being alone...just hate being alone with my own thoughts I wish I could stop it!

Oh I feel you! Right now in having a hard time! My left foot feels really really cold but it's warm to the touch! It feels like I have it dipped in a ice bath but yet it's not cold too the touch. It's really bothering me now that I'm focused on it! I hate doing this to myself!
