Feeling better, but strange.

So, yesterday and today I started feeling better. I haven’t panicked, and I haven’t had physical symptoms of anxiety. However, I still am having the strange thoughts that come with anxiety. It’s making me feel super weird. I don’t even know how to explain it. Like, things that normally stress me out or give me anxiety aren’t and I feel like my brain isn’t working. I know that sounds dumb, for me to be worried about not having anxiety. I just wondered if anyone else has gone through this.

Kind of sounds like when we get a day without anxiety we wonder why? As if this is not right. Normally we have our anxiety. So we don't know how to react to an anxiety free day. We can go looking for things. Our mind can think a lot about why we have no anxiety. Simply because we are not used to not having anxiety. Bit of a Catch 22 thing. I feel great today. Why do I feel great today. I never feel this good. Something must be wrong. Nothing is wrong at all. We do get days off here and there. They are allowed. Try and enjoy them. Don't try and think about things. Just accept it is another anxiety free day.

I agree with what @Cuchculan said in his post. Also, during periods of high anxiety, your body is doing a lot of work maintaining the state of heightened senses. It makes sense that afterwards you'll feel a bit under the weather/depressed.

I also agree with Cuchculan... you miss the anxiety. Chill out and relax.. Enjoy your anxiety free body! Look for things to do that you will enjoy. I used to hate going shopping, but after being treated with buspirone, now I can window shop all day long with the wife and kids and never get annoyed.
