I have had health anxiety for past 18 years and I have recently been like I am gonna faint. I have felt dizzy and stuff but this seems like I am really going to faint. I did faint two weeks ago. I woke up at 3:30 am and my tongue was swollen on the right side and I don’t know if it freaked me out so bad but I ended up passing out on the floor. I keep feeling like it’s gonna happen again.

So your tongue was swollen on the right side and then you fainted?? There's' more to this than anxiety. You should consider an allergy of an allergic reaction. Have you eaten or taken anything different lately? If you already know the cause then you can avoid this in the future. Another thing to consider is something called ( vasovagal syncope) this occurs when your brain doesn't get enough blood flow. Theven brain loses blood flow when your blood pressure is so high that the blood either rushes in the brain too fast or not fast enough. I had episodes of this during my anxiety. Have you told your doctor about this? I strongly advise that you do so. Tell your doctor that you want an echocardiogram (ekg) just to check the concern of a heart arrhythmia or any other heart ailments out of the way. I remember when I passed out. I was at work and all of a sudden I felt my heart just beating as hard as I ever have then all of a sudden I felt light headed . The next thing I knew. ...I was in the back of an ambulance. Come to think of it... it took at least 10 minutes to wake up.. . Anyways from what a Co worker told me ... I had an odd look on my face, I grabbed my chest, stood up and then collapsed. I had no idea. I just knew that I felt light headed and wanted to try to walk it off like I usually do because during an anxiety attack ...it' a good idea to try to burn that nervous energy and that' what I was trying to do that day. You get this checked out and keep me posted. Tell me what your doctor has to say. Welcome to the forum.

Hi, Angel and a very warm welcome to the forum. I'm in agreement with @Concernedgal here and I think you need to see a doctor about this. It sounds a bit more than anxiety to me. Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Welcome to the forum I have to agree with the other two posts.Sometimes your tongue will swell up from certain medications I dont know if you are on anything, but it could be an allergic reaction to something.I know one time I bit it and it swelled up just a little.I know sometime when I eat something I get very bad hot flashes and dizzy I think it maybe food allergies just last week I atr some Mand M"s and I became so sick I got sweaty and dizzy thought i was going to have to call 911 but it turned out to be from my gerd again.
