I've had the feeling of weak legs and sick to the stomach feeling before after a big adrenaline surge. I hate when that happens.

Because anxiety. Anxiety symptoms don't just disappear into thin air. They take time to go away. And you're clearly quite anxious about this, so the symptoms will continue for some time.

There are times we can all feel tired for days on end. Even if we sleep. Just the nature of the beast that is anxiety. Just try and rest up as much as you can. If you can't sleep, even just try and relax the body. Some days can be harder than others. But we will always get through it.

Everyone I’m honestly struggling here I’ve been to see my doctor I did not read some of my legs which cleared them of any kind of blood circulation issues and I did some extensive bloodwork that covered some major areas of information and bone information. All that’s left is an EMG and nerve conduction study my legs are not clinically week meeting that I did a neurological exam at my doctors office and he could not spot any weakness however they feel like they are completely Have you like I am caring around weights on my legs I don’t understand the symptom at all I have never experienced this it will not go away every time I get up to walk I feel like I am dragging them I am terrified they’re going to give out has anyone ever had this I am not sure if I should end up pushing for the EMG

If they tested your strength and it is normal than it is just perceived weakness and not actual weakness. Years ago I thought I had MS and thought my arms felt weak and the more I thought about it and focused on it the weaker I felt, but I really wasn't weak. Real weakness is falling when you walk or being unable to walk or stand. We can make ourselves feel anything if we constantly worry about it. It doesn't seem possible, but it absolutely is. The mind is so much more powerful than we think, and so is fear. If you are actually dragging them then yes, you need more testing, but if it just feels like it then it is anxiety since you have already had a neurological exam.

Yep, pretty much everything I wanted to say. *Perceived* weakness. Just like we're prone to false dyspnea (false shortness of breath AKA perceived) rather than clinical.

I appreciate your answers but why am scared about is this the beginning of something bad I am terrified of ALS right now that is my biggest obsession that started after I read about it online and now honestly every time I’m up my legs I feel like they’re going to give out I cannot believe this feeling it is so real my legs feel like they are weighted down like to hard to move or week it’s hard to explain but terrifying it is consuming me

It may very well be real. Not everything caused by anxiety is in the mind. What we mean by perceived weakness is that, sure, the legs may feel weak, but anxiety makes you perceive it as worse than it is. You're hyperaware of it, so focused on it that it appears worse than it actually is.

For a person with health anxiety, as an example, chances are it is their health anxiety putting ideas in their heads. You just have to look around this forum. How many people think they have various things wrong with them? We are talking really serious illnesses. out of all those people how many have really got what they think they have? You could back date a lot of posts on this forum. See posts from those same people from maybe a year ago or even longer were they thought they had a serious illness back then too. Only back then it might have been a different illness. The post above is right. Nothing saying you don't have anything. But so far there is nothing to say you do have something either. Anxiety symptoms and a lot of symptoms for various illnesses can overlap. in other words anxiety can make you feel a certain way. If you were to Google how you feel, you might also find those exact same symptoms linked with a serious illness. So anxiety could just as easily explain all your symptoms. Until we know any different, meaning until a doctor was to say ' yes it is serious ', to us we see it as anxiety. It is up to a doctor to say it is not anxiety. You have you fear of ALS. So do many other people on this forum. Do this mean they all have ALS? No. It means they have a fear of it. Nothing else at all. Unless a doctor says otherwise. With any type of fear, if you have anxiety, it can mimic those same symptoms. With a fear comes fright. Which is what you are going through. You are afraid it is ALS. That is only natural. That is what anxiety and fear do. They frighten you. Only way to fully resolve this issue is to visit a doctor. Let the doctor make the final call on it. ALS or anxiety.
