I do agree everything is in Gods control 100%. But i suppose there will be certain things we will see differently because of the different paths we may follow. My belief is that everything in life is due to karmic actions, as we believe the soul travels through many life times until our karma is paid off. But by prayer and meditating on God we can burn past karma. So we may be carrying karma from actions in past lives, and sometimes the struggle can make us closer to god. Having said this, we by no means judge anyone.

Btw im giving a lesson on religion lol. Just sharing my beliefs.
Yes because God gives us the free will to choose our paths. Your choices whether good or bad will determine your consequences in life. I would hope that karma didn't have that much power. That would mean that I would never pay off my debt. I am a flawed person. I don't always do the right things. So thankfully we have a God that forgives us. Don't lay that guilt on yourself because you will never be able to forgive yourself for making bad choices. Let God be the judge. That is what makes us closer to God because we hand it all over to Him. He told us to be anxious for nothing but with prayer and supplication give our requests to Him. So yes, I believe in prayer. I believe we can burn past anxiety but not giving karma any traction. It doesn't deserve it. There's no healing. And yes there is such a thing as generational sins. We continue to do what we've learned in the past until we are the first ones to take a different path. If we fall we can get back up. But we don't give into it. Just like a mom who stands guard when their toddler is learning to walk. Sometimes they fall despite mom being there. Doesn't mean they will never walk or they won't sometimes feel pain and cry out. Just means they get up and try it again. :)

I think God can forgive our karma and wipe our slate clean with his compassion. Very similar to how Christians believe they are born in sin and can only be forgive and delivered back into God by Jesus Christ. We also believe that we are born in sin due to our own actions but God can forgive us in an instant with his grace. I also agree only God is the true judge.

God is bigger and more compassionate then any person or any sin we may have ever committed. God loves us unconditionally.

Absolutely. That’s why anxiety doesn’t have complete power over my life because God is in total control. Yes it can and will rear it’s ugly head. That is when I look to the hills from which cometh my strength. It comes from the Lord.

I really appreciate this discussion, and for me, faith is everything. Certainly we all have different amounts of faith, but the good news is .. if we have faith, even the size of a mustard seed, we can do anything. Or to put it another way, by ourselves, we can't do anything .. but with HIM all things are possible.

When we can view it from that perspective .. all stress and anxiety is gone because there is no pressure .... simple, but definitely not easy.

Like some of you, I am also Catholic, and have Panic Disorder. But no matter how high my anxiety level is, spending time at Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, reduces it down to at least near zero.

Thanks for this discussion.

I enjoy this conversation as well. I always enjoy sharing my faith. Good stuff. As anxiety sufferers we need prayer. Lots of it. Pray for me as I will be praying for you

HI All.

Do any of you follow a faith or have a strong belief in God? I find my faith in God takes 75 percent of my anxiety away. And I think 25 percent is there due to my own ego.
I believe in God, its good that God takes 75% of your anxiety away. I would say the 25% of your anxiety can go not because of ego but because of a controlled, persistent and determined will to confront the anxiety issues.
