Ugh! Worst nightmare!

I have covid. I had a 104 degree fever yesterday and decided to go to the ER, where they told me I had covid 19.

Is anyone here not vaccinated against covid? Did you get it? How was your recovery? I'm so scared!

Feels like I got hit by a bus. Bad taste in my mouth, phlegm, dizziness and off balance, scratchy dry throat, just overall feeling like absolute crap. My heart rate also hit the 200s while I was in the hospital, too

I have heavy anxiety and panic disorder and I'm just so scared right now. I'm of course having the typical symptoms of it. I've been googling.. I'm trying to do so productively. Like what to eat and what to drink while I'm sick like this. But it's just hard..trying to stay positive and not freak out too much. I'm 19.

Got perscribed Paxlovid too, which scares me. Shouldn't have looked that up. Now I'm thinking they prescribed it because of a not so good outlook for me.

I was vaccinated twice and had one booster and I got Covid-19 pretty bad in October 2022. I had a 102.3 temperature, was very weak and had terrible diarrhea. The best thing was I lost 7 pounds but have since gained it all back. I was weak for 2 weeks afterwords. My wife is a pharmacist, and she said many people are getting it now but are not as sick as before.

Never got the vaccination. Had jt twice. Once I just couldn’t breathe. Second time high fever and everything hurt, barely slept. Came out ok. Try to think of it like a bad flu. Without comorbidities your chances for serious illness are low

Only thing I got is obesity I guess lol but thanks, sounds familiar! I'm not having too many breathlessness issues, but still

I got the original vaccination and one booster. I had it in October 2022 with just a cough. They gave me a different med because I have high blood pressure but does the same as Paxlovid. I was totally fine the next day. I caught it again this August in Disney World. Pretty much had no symptoms… scratchy throat, nasal congestion, itchy nose. They gave me steroids and cough meds just incase but I was totally fine. Passed it to my daughter who had no symptoms at all, but I happened to test her before she was going back to school.

The one time I got Covid (the original Omicron variant) was immediately after I got my first booster, before it could kick in (thanks Mom!) So it was a variant I wasn't vaccinated against. For me it was worse than a cold but not as bad as the flu. Mostly I was just exhausted, had body aches, and my nose was pouring crap for a week and I had the worst sore throat of my life. It sucked but it stayed mostly in the upper respiratory system. I was actively sick for maybe a week and then just exhausted for a couple more weeks. Paxlovid wasn't available then but I'm guessing it's much less bad now that you can take that.

I had COVID twice in early 2022, never been vaccinated. First time I just had no energy at all for four or five days, second time was mild allergy like symptoms for a few days.

Got covid couple of months ago, never vaccinated. I had body aches, bit of a headache, sore throat and terrible cough. Also loss of smell and metallic taste but got over it and felt better after about a week. My 12 year old son got it too, he's not vaccinated as well and had no covid symptoms.

I think I am one of the few people that hasn't caught covid. I'm fully vaccinated, no problems with it at all. Been exposed many times but haven't caught it yet. I think its milder now, and it doesn't worry me like it use to.
