Hi everyone,

Was wondering if anyone here has had serious ringing in their ears ? It's freaking me out ! I have had it from time to time but it seems pretty intense tonight . I am on blood pressure meds and cholesterol drugs and it seemed to start after i took my nightly dose . Making so anxious !

I've had it for years. When I started working, my work environment was quiet. No air conditioner, no fax machine, no phones. It was quiet, so the ringing started. I had it for years before my doctor decided to do some tests. Come to find out, and I have moderate hearing loss in my right ear. I've had it for about 5 years. It's not severe, but it's noticeable. The ringing is 24/7. I've learned that eating a lot of citrus fruits, lemons, oranges, grapefruit help, and cranberry juice. I've never tried aspirin, so I can't comment on that.

I have tinnitus all day every day. Talk to a doctor ASAP but don't freak out too bad. It's probably related to your blood pressure from the sounds of it.

Thanks for the reply, i have great hearing after being tested so i guess its something I'll have to live with . I'll try not to dwell on it so much !

Yes i do have high blood pressure so maybe I'd better check it out . Thought my meds were keeping it under control but maybe not .

Better to consult with an ENT specialist!

Mine started about 4 years ago and I saw an ENT. He gave me some meds to take for a week- didn’t help. The tinnitus was md so it wasn’t driving me crazy but I started sleeping with ocean sounds. Then it went away. It comes back every six months or may I just start noticing and focusing on it - could be used to it. Not sure if it really goes away. Right now, I don’t notice it. Take care!
