My dog is a pekenese beagle turned 11 this this few days ago. Months ago we would see blood on floor where he would be and we didn’t know where he was bleeding from but knew it was around that spot. Took him to get in November and they said was ok. I noticed it few more times we took him again two months ago they checked his prostate and penis said he was ok they didn’t see the blood. Tonight I saw him bleeding and I’m really worried theres something wrong when him. I don’t know what could be wrong do any of you know

The only ones who can really sort this one out is a vet. So far they have been hopeless. Dogs do bleed from that area. As a rule the vet should put the dog on something. A form of treatment for the dog. The only other times a male dog would bleed, without reason, is if it is around a female dog in heat. If we leave that aside, your vet should be treating the dog from the problem it is having. Maybe try another vet. Second opinion. The new vet might actually treat the dog in the right way.

I think he will be just fine. But I do think a vet needs to listen to what you are telling them. This can be easily treated. Is common with dogs. no idea what a vet actually looks for. Ask loads of questions when you visit the vet. Why is he bleeding. How long will it go on for. Will it stop by itself. In other words, put the vet on the spot by asking as many questions as you can.

Are you sure that's where the blood was coming from? Sometimes my dog breaks a nail and will leave blood droppings around. Just wishful thinking I wish you and your doggy the best of luck.

I don't know if this can even be comparable, but a cat my husband had a while ago had blood in his urine. The vet discovered the cat had a UTI and treated him for it. Might be what's going on with your dog. Maybe bring it up to your vet?

We called vet yesterday he said to keep an eye on him for a week see what happens I really hope it nothing but a uti. Two months ago he had prostate checked since we asked they said he was ok that’s why hoping he ok I’m still very worried though

I think you have been keeping an eye on it for some time now. Which was why you took him to the vet to begin with. Can't see much changing in a week if the dog is not been treated for anything at all.

Any vets on the net? Probably have to pay them. Or even look up for a dog owners forum. Might get some ideas there. On here we deal with anxiety issues. Not much good for a dog really. I would try a pet forum first. See how that goes.
