Had a few worries over the last few weeks. But these seem to have gone. Or at least I thoughtt

Been having a few dizzy spells at backcof head ish. But seen to last ages. Not bad bad but it’s there’s. Stopping me sleeping now. Every now and again very I get like a throbbing dizzy moment. No pain at all though or head aches.

I am a worrier in general. I also have adhd and haven’t had a full nights uninterrupted sleeping in about 20 years. Literally. Takes me a while to get to sleep. Then I might get two hours. Then wake up.then get another two to three hours. I’m seeing my Gp next week anyway but thought I’d get some advice.

I had chest pains a few weeks ago. Got them tested and had ecg blood pressure and blood tests took and all fine. It it’d the dizziness lately that’s got me. More so today and tonight. Pretty much most of the day had the weird dizzy feeling.

Someone had said it sounds like anxiety. Thought I’d give it a question on here.

Thanks for reading

Hi Matt224,

Definitely a good idea to go to your GP. If they do diagnose you with anxiety, keep in my mind they may recommend an antidepressant medication. You should probably read about the pros/cons of going that route so that you are informed ahead of time. They may also recommend talk therapy which is almost always helpful without any downside except for time/money.

If you can improve your sleep, it may improve your anxiety. For me, my anxiety is usually correlated with lack of sleep. I usually take over the counter herbal supplements containing valerian root, melatonin and some other non-Rx herbal ingredients to help me get back on track. Most of the traditional over the counter sleep aids will leave you foggy/hungover the next day. Rx sleep aids tend to cause a dependency issue/addiction is some people.

Best of luck!

Thanks for the reply. It’s strange Cos I have no depression thoughts. I’m not sad or down or anything like that. Just wondering if any of those symptoms seem like anxiety

Hey Matt224, I had the same feeling of dizziness a month ago and continued for a while, I went to doctor and he told me that I have general anxiety, and that I need to cop with that. Lately I have been better, no dizziness but occasional lightheaded feeling.

I hope your dr visit gives you peace on your mind.

Did yours seem to last most of the day too? It’s really weird. It’d not a bad dizziness. Just like it’s always there at the back of the head.

Thanks for the reply

Yes, and its like a clockwork, its starts at noon exactly (believe it or not) and goes through the evening. Its not dizziness but looks like I will start to get dizzy any moment, is that have sense? Very weird feeling.

I did go to dr again and he told me that nothing's wrong with me, its just an anxiety.

It definitely sounds like anxiety from my own experience. I have been dealing with health anxiety, social anxiety, etc. and I have many physical symptoms and lightheadedness 24/7 is one of them. I am also a huge worrier as well and it only triggers my anxiety more when I get these weird feelings. I would definitely recommend going to see your doctor, psychiatrist, or therapist or all the above because they can really help you.

Appreciate the response. A few people I know have said the same in that it sounds like it. Hopefully can get it sorted when I see my GP next week.

Had a decent couple of days. Today had a few stressful moments and the dizziness has started again tonight. Because I had stress free days with no dizziness and it has started tonight after a few stressed moments. I am starting to believe more it’s anxiety based.

Hi everyone. The dizziness seems to have settled down. I’ve had a few nights though where I get a weird feeling where my heart it. As I say I’ve had blood pressure and blood tests and ecg and all fine. Seems more on a night. I can’t explain it though. It’s not a pain. Every now and then when I seem to go to sleep or want to drift off it seems to be like a throb / twitch that I’m aware of. Always seems to be when I close my eyes and try to sleep.

Anyone had anything like this. Sorry to bump this again. Just bugs me that’s all.

Sounds like your anxiety is jolting you awake. This happens to me most nights, throughout the night and jolts me awake in the morning most mornings. It’s definitely unsettling and uncomfortable. Can ruin an entire night. Something subconsciously might be upsetting you or stressing you out. Have you been working too much? Is there a relationship in your life that you’re questioning? Did you change your routine recently? Add anything new to your life (good or bad)? These are all things that plague even the most clear minds. Sometimes our subconscious minds are trying to figure out what our conscious minds can’t, and this can manifest in a lot of ways, anxiety, dreams, panic, lack of focus. All sorts of stuff. Maybe consider seeing a therapist. Or maybe doing a telehealth therapist (they are therapists you can text and/or do phone calls with, so it fits most lifestyles) and usually it’s pretty cost effective.

Just a thought !

When I get anxiety sometimes I get PVCs which are benign heart palpitations where if feels like my heart flops around and or skips beats and can make me dizzy and then turn into a full blown panic attack. I definitely will notice them more at night when I'm trying to sleep. According to the dr my anxiety can cause the pvcs but the pvcs cause me anxiety... go figure!

Another question. Really sorry for these. I also have ADHD. Since a kid. So my mind is always seemingly 100mph. Sometimes (tonight example) my anxiety seems fine. But I am struggling to switch off. This is normal for me anyway but seems worse tonight. Mind racing. Although not negatively. No real negative thoughts at all. Is this also a sign? As in not necessarily negative thoughts. Just randomly constantly changing thoughts. Unable to really wind down. I have self registered with MIND or something Similar tonight. So will be getting an appointment with them I think to discuss things.

I have my mind racing since I was young and non necessarily for negative thought, I am just like that. I got to admit that with the HA that I have I am overthinking way a lot and more towards the negative side.

I feel you guys. On all of it. Was diagnosed with anxiety at 25 yrs of age. Am now 45. Over the years my anxiety has evolved somewhat I guess u would say. Throwing in New symptoms here and there. The dizziness gets me amped up the quickest. Followed by a hot flush feeling and the pvcs. Any of these symptoms typically send me to the er. And its always the same, anxiety. I had 1 full yr with virtually no anxiety at all after going through a nasty divorce. Who woulda thought a divorce would have fixed anxiety. Go figure. But now its back. And for the last 6 mons it's been intense. Occurring daily. Am fixin to b on blood psi meds looks like and that's after losing 113 lbs at our local all nite gym and growing much muscle. Especially in the upper body. I'm now at 205. Should b pretty healthy. Feel fine at the gym, but if anxiety ever sets in with a symptom, it goes downhill fast. God bless you all.

Have recently found out my potassium was low. Pvcs were bad. After a week of working on getting my potassium up, my pvcs have just almost stopped. Had twitching muscles too. No cramps tho which many say is a sign of low potassium. Didn't have muscle cramps just odd twitches in pectorals, upper arms and shoulders. Blood psi is normal now too.

Hi. Hope everyone is well. Last two movies I’ve not slept St all much. Not until 5 and only a couple hours. Just couldn’t switch off. Didnt have thoughts. Just like a weird feeling in my head constant. Same again tonight. Anyone else had this?

Have also heard CBD oil is good for anxiety and sleeping. So I have ordered a bottle of this.
