Tomorrow is another appointment I am not looking forward to. To make matters worse, my husband usually accompanies me but my babysitter is sick and can't watch the kids. Please just send thoughts and prayers that everything goes well. Thank you.

I am sure you will sail through it. Last appointment you thought you were going to be told you had everything bad and all they said was that there nothing wrong with your heart.. You might be expecting the worst and hear the very same thing said again.

@bin_tenn I am worried about all these appointments she has with you. Our resident doctor. :p

Thinking of you….good luck! Love the humor and good vibes on this board. I post in a bunch of other places and it isn’t like that everywhere.

You will be fine. Once you get there and things get going. Keep your head up. Be strong. Think of all the cooking you will have to do later. LOL

Well after explaining everything, she pretty much told me what Google has been telling me. That midcycle bleeding is not normal. She wanted to do a transvaginal ultrasound tomorrow but my husband took today off to be with me for support so she went ahead and did it today. She said the results show that everything looks really good. Just two normal cysts. She still wants me to get the biopsy. Better safe than sorry. Makes me slightly nervous but I have also read that one of the ways they detect reproductive cancers is with a transvaginal ultrasound. Ultimately, early detection makes a huge difference with reproductive cancers, so I feel very proactive and positive about going in and getting things checked. Just filled out an app for cancer screening coverage and hopefully it will go through and I can make an appointment for the biopsy! Even if it doesn't, I will still schedule for it. Pricey but worth it. Thank you all for the support, well wishes, and laughter!

Try not to worry. I just had a hysterectomy in March due to multiple large fibroids. We had been watching them grow for years using transvaginal ultrasound so they are used to detect other things than cancer. I have had cervical and uterine biopsies before, this is standard if they find cysts or fibroids. My fibroids were the cause of my terrible bleeding, are you sure they said cysts not fibroids? That would explain the bleeding...either way they are very common and treatable. I have had lots of "woman" issues unfortunately that has been my thing but all good now that I had the surgery. Good luck, keep us posted. :)

Is the biopsy specifically to screen for cancer, or is it a general biopsy? We associate the term "biopsy" with cancer, but a biopsy - generally speaking - is a tool used to determine the pathology, whether malignant or not.

Yes, a cyst on the left and a very small one on the right which she said looked normal. No fibroid or polyps. No masses or thickened endometrium. She said could be age. When I was younger and this happened it was due to lots of anxiety and stress. Could be that too. Or maybe even my thyroid. I am so glad that it all turned out good for you! And thank you! I definitely will!!

I am really not sure. I guess, just to make sure there are no cancerous cells? Just standard when there is abnormal bleeding, I'm thinking, to rule out anything like cancer.

It'll be alright. You're being proactive, and you're in good hands. I know that alone isn't a magical "cure" for the anxiety, but don't focus on the negative thoughts. Focus on the fact that you're doing the right thing, and it will all work out.

I am so glad you got it checked, and trust me they would know instantly if it was sinister or not when they were checking with Transvaginal ultrasound. One oncologist gyn dr told me once that Gyns are so experienced in detecting stuff, so no worries there. Biopsy is just to make sure everything is fine, not necessarily because they believe it's sinister.
I am 1000% sure that you will be alright <3
