Hi everyone,
I’ve been dealing with some weird sensations on my chin. First it was tingles. I figured a pimple was just trying to emerge. That went away. Now I have a tender spot that almost feels squishy right underneath my lip and above where my chin dimple is. I messed up and consulted Dr. Google and now I’m deep into a HA episode. It says cancer, numb chin syndrome, heart attack etc… has abound dealt with something like this? I haven’t called the doctor yet because I’m in between insurances right now and no one will help

Try the magnesium powder by calm. Also it will usually go away on its own.

I experience lots of sensations in my jaw and chin. Numbness / tingly feelings, aches, tightness, etc. I just figure it's from stress (tension), muscle issues, etc. It happens.

My GI physician once told me not to look up symptoms on the internet as in many instances, the worst-case outcome is stated.

I have experience with something very similar to this. I had a tingling sensation on my left temple along with a twitch in my left eye and a slight pain for MONTHS. I had convinced myself I was at risk for stroke, bells palsy, multiple sclerosis, the whole nine yards. It really is all anxiety. Facial numbness is incredibly common with anxiety, and it definitely doesn't need to be specifically at times when you are anxious. The most likely cause of your tingling is tight facial muscles in your cheek that eventually led to you touching the area more which in turn has made your brain hyper focus on that specific region.

this might sound like a really dumb question but would you associate that feeling of tightness around the chin with it too? I’m scaring myself sick ‍

I try not to google it too! Sometimes I feel addicted to googling symptoms. It gets so bad

Not necessarily the chin for me, but the feeling of tightness I did have along the left side of may face. Try to relax your shoulder and upper back muscles. It's very likely that you have a tight muscle somewhere in your front side of your neck that is causing this.

If we were all to Google our symptoms, we would be the walking dead by now. Never does anybody any good at all. Gives you more to worry about. Have read many posts on forums over the years about tingles and numbness. Is something people write about a lot on anxiety based forums. With anxiety, it can be a case of giving something some time. Not jumping to conclusions straight away. A lot of things we get sort themselves out in time.

Literally me this last week. Today things have calmed down a fair bit and it has reduced to a small tingle on my cheek that I am mostly ignoring. I touched things so much that it got way worse for awhile. I am sure it was stress and anxiety that kept a normal tingle feeling on my cheek in the first place.
