So I'm fairly fit, been going to the gym for about 5 months till last week. I went to clinic for them to check on my breathing (anxiety) all was fine there. But, they wanted to run an EKG because I was active etc. It came back abnormal according to the APRN working. She said I had a very small branch block (nerve block) which is a block in the left or right side of my heart. She never said which. That's important because if it's a right branch block they are usually harmless and congenital. But if it's a left branch block it could mean trouble, existing heart problem etc. So they set up this cardiologist app to rectify things. I ha e no idea what they'll do tomorrow. Problem is if it's something minor I don't want to drag out tests and such were I wouldn't know for weeks if my heart is ok. I don't think my brain could take not knowing. I pray I go in he reads the EKG and says it's ok. Here's the twist! A year and a half ago I went to the ER for worry over my heart, I knew they'd run an EKG. I was fine. The cardiologist on call said it was fine. I went home. Well I got a copy of that EKG and took it back to the clinic the APRN saw it on that one two from a year and a half ago! And come to find out the doc that read over the EKG is the same doc I'm seeing tomorrow. Twist of fate. A year and a half ago even though he said things were fine, I'm going to see him for the same signature on an EKG. It's very nerve wracking. I just started a new med and it's helping this far (given a few unwanted side effects). I just want this to be over. I would appreciate anyone's experience on the matter of going to see a cardiologist. I mean why in the world am I going to see a guy that obviously saw no problem in my EKg a year ago. If he says I'm fine and my heart looks good, it will relieve so much anxiety. So I'm praying to God hoping for good results. I need some prayers too. It's been a dark day around my home today. Thanks for any input at all.

I hope you made out ok at the Dr. My husband has had a left branch block for years - does perfectly fine. It
makes EKGs harder to read but thats about it. A friend has a right block (and block doesnt mean blockage)
its the way the wiring is.

Got a good result from the doc, he ruled out a prior heart issue, said it was a small dip that was seen, I heard him say right branch block while he was in the hallway. He more or less said it's just the way my heart functions all 3 EKGs showed the same anomaly for the last year and a half. Just as a precaution I still gotta do a stress test and ultrasound. But he said all is well to excersize!
