Now my anxiety is on the frits. I have chills, my head hurts, I have a soar throat and my body has pains. I felt this come on about sunday and I was trying to fight it off early. I'm scared though, If i have the flu I'm afraid of dying. My throat hurts bad but I don't have a real cough yet, not a constant one I mean because I use cough drops. Still I'd like to know the difference between flu and cold, I don't know what to fight it with if I don't know
:*(.

Also is it ok to use ibuprofen for pain?

Had similar just over a week ago. In the end I said a bad cold. Why? Because I still had some energy to be able to do things. I find with the flu it takes more out of me. Just rest yourself up a bit. Plenty of fluids. As for what to take for pain? Ring your local chemist and ask them. Not sure if you take any other medication. They would know what you take and could advise you what you can and can't take.

if it comes on slowly over a few days, it's probably a cold. the flu hits hard and fast - you'll go from fine to feeling miserable within hours sometimes.

also, yes, ibuprofen is great for pain.

Thanks guys, I've calmed down a little after I read this. It's good to know that I can take pain meds for this, cause my head still hurts from time to time

Lexmark, I think that if you do get the flu, telling yourself over and over that it won't kill you may decrease your anxieties about the flu killing you.
