Can you get twitching from anxiety?

So yesterday I had a pretty anxious day and I got worked up about health stuff and then my thumb started twitching

It's still kinda twitching today and I'm not sure what to do

The more I focus on it the more it twitches and for the most part if I'm distracted it doesn't twitch. I'm just concerned because it still appears to be twitching

It's happened before as well when I've been super anxious a few years ago and it eventually went away

Yes. Twitching is another side effect of anxiety. Anxiety just creates so many unpleasant things for our body. It causes us to tighten our muscles as well so it may be a something like that causing the twitch. Try to do some breathing exercises and see if that helps. Hopefully you have a better day at work.

It may or may not be anxiety. Even if it isn't that's perfectly okay, because most (and the most likely) causes of twitching are benign. Injury and overuse of muscles are other common causes.
