So my bowel habits have been settling down but now I am experiencing intermittent stabbing back pains. It started with what I originally thought was prolonged gas pain that all the sudden sharply radiated to my back and settled there. It’s not constant but it seems to come in the form of spasms. I am feeling less significant cramps in other areas around the body as well. Is this normal for anxiety? I have been very anxious this week and I hope this is just stress related and nothing serious.... even non life-threatening gallbladder disease would be miserable for me because I’m the lowest tier insurance at my job due to income level and saving up for school so I want to avoid unnecessary tests unless it continues to persist

I've had weird sharp muscle pains too which show up the more anxious I get. How is your posture? I've noticed my back will get spasms if I'm not sitting upright for a while. Also, if you can, try to get a massage and see how it helps your muscles. It really helped my neck when my symptoms there were bad (though I totally get if you can't since massage can be pricey; I'm really lucky since my insurance only has me pay a $30 copay).

All I know is stress and anxiety cause so many physical symptoms. Maybe just wait and see if it persists before you see a doctor. I was having pain in my abdomen and right side and I was convinced I had cancer or a gallbladder issue or something. I had an ultrasound and everyone was fine. Even the tech was like what are your symptoms? Because I don't see anything.

Oh and I have chronic back pain from anxiety due to tensing up so much. You don't even realize that you are constantly in a state of tension.

Yes bowel problems and back spasms are all apart of stress and anxiety. I get the same weird sensations all the time especially when I'm having a tough day. You need to find a way to distress yourself for a few minutes a day by drawing, coloring, listening to music whatever may calm you down. Also if you are constantly moving and are in stressful situations that to can cause problems with bowl and back pain. Like CC83 stated if the problem persists then seek medical professionals help and go from there. I hope you get better soon.
