Bump on belly area?

So a few moments ago I noticed a rather pronounced lump on the lower right of my abdomen. I had one there which was smaller which I assume was a bug bite weeks ago but seems to have grown some since. I squeezed it and some puss and blood came out which was a temporary fix and now it's still there. Could bug bite be the best approximation or is it something worse?

It could be an infected ingrown hair or a cyst or boil. If you have an antibiotic cream, I'd put some of that on it. Regardless, it doesn't sound like a big deal.

Update: It appears to have shrunk some and it's warm and tender with the areas where pus came out a little redder. I've applied two rounds of Neosporin on the site. Still a little concerned but not as much as I was.

I second what triceps said. As long as you put Neosporin on it, you should be good to go, whatever it is.

I’ve had that. It was a cyst that got infected. You might need to have it lanced and be on an antibiotic. I would see a dermatologist if the redness spreads, especially if it is warm to the touch. It’s easily taken care of, but, like any infection, has the potential to do harm if you ignore it

It seems to be healing more every day to where I honestly don't notice it. It's no longer warm or all that red. I've been Neosporining it FWIW

Always good to take precautions with that I guess. I would do the same too haha.

Sounds like you are good to go then
Mine just got bigger, redder and hotter until I realized I really did need medical attention!
Btw, if it’s a cyst it doesn’t go away. Mine is still there - now just a little flesh colored bump. Nothing to worry about unless it gets inflamed. My advice - don’t squeeze it - just leave it alone.
