I catch myself holding my breathe a lot of the time but I never notice in the moment that I’m not breathing. My therapist tells me to do Deep breathing excerise’s to help. You can look up deep breathing excerises or mediation or yoga for breathing and it can really open up your air way
I can completely relate to you. It’s very draining. I have health anxiety, social anxiety & more and it’s either my physical symptoms are bothering me such as lightheadedness, nausea, stomach issues, hot & sweaty, shaky ,etc. or I get sick with a cold or flu, or just something always coming up if it’s not being caused by my anxiety. Just like you.. it’s always something. It’s frustrating, draining, upsetting and annoying. But, after getting on anxiety medication and seeing a therapist it definitely has improved at least a tiny bit so far so I do recommend looking into getting a psychiatrist and therapist to help you through this!
I do square breathing a lot-
Inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale 4 second, hold for 4 seconds.. over and over until I feel calm. It really helps!
