I've never had a migraine headache before (knock on wood). However, I've heard that they're quite unpleasant.

I'm sorry you're having migraines, Roxy.

Have you had migraines well before the last two weeks, Roxy?

I get them with and without the aura. Sometimes a migraine with aura can present only as the aura with no apparent pain, so I've heard/read. I also have a headache right now, but I woke up with it (slept wrong last night, I guess). Headaches often aren't the first sign of a brain tumor or similar. By the time they cause pain, there are other more telling signs - fainting, seizures/fits, etc.

A complicated migraine can have aura beforehand. My boyfriend suffers from them/hemiplegic migraines. They get really bad to where he gets confused, can’t speak correctly, nausea/vomiting, really painful migraine, numbness, vision changes, etc. it just happens randomly. He has to be on prevention medication for it but still gets them once in a while. I wouldn’t jump right to brain tumor. With what my boyfriend goes through I would think the same but it’s simply just a bad migraine and migraines come with loads of symptoms that’s different for everyone.

Thank you all for the replies. The migraine settled. I’ve calmed down. It’s probably from all the stress due to covid-19 situation

I went from getting them rarely to once a week on average when I was on HBC. Hormones, foods, stress, there are a lot of triggers for migraines.

Tension headaches cause migraines with and without aura in people. Definitely completely jumping the gun assuming a migraine is a brain tumor. Once this whole corona thing calms down you’ll probably go back to normal.

That's great the migraine calmed down. I'm going on day 3 or 4 of mine! I haven't been this stressed out in a while so I am pretty sure mine is from all the stress too. I did make a late night (midnight) store run though and was able to pick up a few essentials like toilet paper and milk.

I get aura with a slight or no headache. I had been in a pattern of say 2 or 3 a year. But earlier this year they came in succession. 2 in a week then another 3 weeks later. Then, two months since and haven't had another. My optometrist agrees with other posters comments. It’s largely stress related, or due to many potential triggers.

No, but is seems to be finally getting better. I didn't take another dose of ibuprofen and I can actually function. I am hoping in the morning it will be gone!

I get migraines quite regularly, with and without aura. Mine have come from my neck and jaw (TMJ issues) and generally get sorted out when I have a visit to my osteopath and if I do neck and shoulder yoga. Definitely more frequent lately with increased stress! Have you ever had any jaw pain accompanying your migraines? Glad yours has died down!

no jaw pain that I can recall. It calmed down a little the first night but now it’s back and has been for 2 days
Mine was still there this morning but now it's almost gone. How are you doing today?
It was really bad today, I’m hoping after some more sleep it will be better. But I have a new set of worries, my husband is showing mild Covid symptoms, he is having body aches, nausea and very tired. I also feel pretty ran down. So now I’m freaking out about that.

I'm sorry to hear that. I would recommend seeing an osteopath - when I was a kid I was getting 2-4 migraines a week and after eight sessions with my osteo they now are reduced to a few a year. He also did work on my TMJ and it helped despite me not being aware of it. Migraines are truly a curse! Hope it improves!

Sometimes if usual painkillers don't work for me, either taking one paracetamol, one ibuprofen together, or something with codeine (if you have any) can help too.

yeah if they continue to happen like this I will be looking into treatment. Extra strength Tylenol didn’t even put a dent in the pain

I get the aura with a mild headache. It seems to come from too much fluorescent lighting.
