Netflix favorites? I’m looking to start another series... I finished all of the Gilmore girls, Frankie and grace. Now looking for another light hearted one. Thanks!

I know I'm 15 years late, but I never have HBO.. so I'm just starting to binge-watch season one DVDs of The Sopranos.

I remember in the early 2000s, Sopranos having a buzz & binge following similar to Breaking Bad.. it's not as good as Breaking in my opinion.. but I see stylistic similarities..

If you liked Gilmore Girls, you might enjoy Hart of Dixie! It's a little silly but it's got the lighthearted small town feel and they even use the same gazebo as GG!

My 2 favorite TV shows to binge are True Blood and American horror story, I've watched every episode of each now so I'm on the hunt for a new one, I just started watching this show called YES on Netflix, it seems pretty sweet so far.

I just started a show called "Quicksand", I'm still on episode 1. It seems pretty good so far, anyone ever watch it?

I'm currently watching the original 1978'
Battlestar Galactica. Library near my house has the entire series on a DVD set.. I've watched most of 'em over the years in reruns & syndication. But it's still a cool nostalgia trip.

Okay, new thread - what TV shows would you recommend for when someone is struggling with anxiety? :) For example, I remember having a hard time once, and a friend told me to watch Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix. It was so ridiculous that it cheered me up quite a bit. I need something to binge over the next few days...
Bob's Burgers, Schitt's Creek, or the Blue Planet series, are some good ones on streaming.

I tend to go for things they moan about on the radio over here. They might mention a sitcom and ask if you would let your son or daughter watch it because of what it is about. That normally means I have to watch it. Just to see what all the hype is about. Most times it is just silly people giving out about things that most of us would not find hard to watch. It is the content they are moaning about. I know 13 reasons why was for teens. That got a lot of negative radio time over here. People moaning about it. Saying it is not right for teens to be watching such a sitcom. Bloody debate went on for days. Hearing such a debate has never made me say ' I must not watch that '. It works the other way. You are wondering why they are all giving out about it. I mean it did deal with some serious teen issues. Stuff that is happening more and more in real life. If anything it raised awareness of what was going out there. But it was a teen thing. And I am far from a teen. But tell me not to watch it and I will watch it. One I love from the US is ' Curb your enthusiasm ' More my sort of show. Not a big TV watcher at all. But that one show used to have me fallen about the place laughing. Take everything that is PC in the world today and just throw it out the window. That was how that show worked.

Anybody use the Vudu app (?)
It has a lot of cool, free tv series and movies..

I'm currently re-watching the Greatest American Hero on Vudu. Corny, but entertaining and nostalgic. Robert Culp was cool on this show..

65, Another old series I'm watching on the Vudu app: Wiseguy.
My favorite cop series of all-time. And probably my favorite show growing up. It's held up well, a lot of timeless moral dilemmas, etc.
Do u remember it (?)

I'm back on the Vudu app, now watching reruns of 21 Jumpstreet..
They have several seasons for free. The jeans jackets, mullets, young Johnny Depp, etc. Good nostalgia.
A lot of episodes were typical sermons on the heavy social issues of the late 8os (drug & steroid abuse, AIDs, etc). But I think, predictable lectures aside, they always did a decent job humanizing characters caught up in these issues.
