Update y'all. So I had my ultrasound done yesterday on both armpits. I read the results and everything came back normal. It said there were no masses, cysts, lymphadenopathy. It said I had benign appearing bilateral axillary lymph nodes and that these don't correspond to the area of the palpable abnormality. I'm obviously very grateful that everything is fine and came back normal. I'm just alittle confused about what happened then. How could me and my doctor clearly feel some sort of small moveable lump and then have nothing show up on the ultrasound? My doctor isn't in office till next week so I would assume we will discuss the results then and I will ask her what her thoughts are. My irrational brain though is worried that the ultrasound didn't see everything or that they didn't scan the whole armpit. Cause the "lump" I felt was towards the middle/top of the armpit. Im pretty sure they must have scanned the whole area cause why wouldn't they. Also the tech had asked me before she started to put a finger on the spot where I felt the lump. Any thoughts?
