I have GAD and been overwhelmed with stress and cortisol has been up. I’ve had so many symptoms but now it’s just weakness and shakiness like after you’ve been working out in my arms and legs...like when I do a yoga plank or engage my muscles they tremble. Anyone else had this from anxiety and how long did it last? Mine had been 6 weeks now... I’ve been on Zoloft for 6 weeks now and just now seeing some mental relief but not physical yet. Thanks for any response!

Yes!! This is my least favourite feeling. I’ve had it for about 4-5 weeks now, I feel this weird trembling that seems like it’s in my spine, and when I use my arms they start trembling like the muscles are exhausted. My legs too. It’s scaring me SO much, I’m relieved to see your post! I’m not on medication, but I wonder if it could be partly from that, for you?

I think it’s from just over stimulating the body... have you been under stress or anxious anxiety?

some days are worse than others, and you’ll almost ALWAYS focus on the worst with having this condition. It’s just a part of it. Plus all of the crap on the news etc, it really can over stress you. As mentioned above, it’s possibly blood sugar. Eat some slower absorbing carbs, maybe take a bath or shower, and try to relax. I would take Benadryl before I got on any medication, and it did help me to rest. If you think about it, your brain will focus on the worst and start catastrophic thinking... which never helps.

What you are describing is all anxiety related., when anxiety sets in , your body is hyper stimulated. Relax

Yes, that happens to me too when I'm at high anxiety for weeks. My muscles feel weak and nerves shaky. Of course it freaked me out when it first happened, but I'm pretty sure it's from anxiety.

Periodically, yes. Mine tends to come in spurts, even when I'm not particularly anxious. Oftentimes it's probably not something we would otherwise notice, but anxiety causes us to latch on to things like this.

I get what you’re saying about your arms and legs being affected. This may be my “least favorite” symptom of all as it messes with my mind the most. I would go as far as saying this one scares me. I’m always glad when it passes or manifests in another way.

One of my most common symptoms. Have it all the time especially when my anxiety is high. I get worried about it half the time. The other half, I explain to my mind why its happening and then let go. It's just a little crazy how one symptom can have multiple effects on you. It's been worse the last couple of weeks since the corona-virus news have bombarded me from every angle. Even though I work from home, my anxiety has basically shoot up and now I am wondering if I have it or something. What a stupid disease.

I have had this symptom of shakiness for years!!!! I absolutely hate it. Can't function make me feel so uncoordinated. And with this I also get the sensation of being on a boat like a swaying from side to side. How many more years of this. UGH

My shakiness feeling/trembling is still driving me nuts. My dr said anxiety, but now I'm really worried I didn't describe it properly. Maybe this is something else :(
