Anxiety over Zoom calls

My high school recently closed because of the new Coronavirus, so my teachers have been scheduling Zoom calls as a replacement for real lessons. We’re obviously not the only ones who are doing this but I still get tons of anxiety over the calls. Some of my teachers don’t give their students the option to mute the microphone or turn off the camera, which is the only thing that makes me remotely comfortable. And this probably sounds really immature but I miss some of my teachers a lot and when they host optional Zoom calls just to speak to their students and not for academic reasons, I can’t join because it’ll look a little stupid to show up to a call specifically hosted for talking with my microphone muted and camera turned off. The worst part is that I really, really want to talk to my teachers again but I can’t. I wish I could get over this!!

I totally relate to this, I'm having anxiety about my daughters ballet class being on zoom next week. I would think some teachers might understand? and with everyone's anxiety elevated these days, I'm sure you're not the only one feeling that way.
