So my anxiety has been very up and down since I last posted. Definitely better than in the beginning but I’m having intense episodes. Today I had a Barney with the hubby (obviously that stresses me out) then when I got home I kept thinking I could see bright lights (heightened senses) so that triggers me too. Now my tummy feels nervous and my head feels strange/ blippy can’t really explain it. Like it’s short circuiting!!! Probably doesn’t make sense lol. It’s not constant it comes and goes! Got lots of tension in my neck and shoulders too. Makes me feel like I’m going to die!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I no it’s stress and anxiety but it doesn’t make me feel any better at all.

It can happen. Hardest thing is calming back down again. Easier to fall. Harder to pick yourself back up. Important thing to tell yourself is that just because it happens one day, it does not have to happen the next day. Obviously the Barney with the husband got you a bit worked up. I would imagine that was the start of it. Even if the anxiety did not kick in straight away. We just need a trigger. Might kick in an hour later. We can all have those days too. Now you have to try and put that day behind you. Try and pick yourself back up and get back on track again.

It isn't "over nothing". There is always a reason, whether it's external or an anxiety disorder. Anxiety disorder often means that the fight or flight response is activated inappropriately, when there is not a genuine threat. But it's not literally for "nothing".

I’m trying lol it takes me a long time to come down from it definitely. I don’t no why it takes me so long in honesty.

Yea there is you are right. I just wish it didn’t happen everytime I get worked up lol I lead a very stressful life, 2 disabled children, opening a breeding business, unwell partner, fertility issues. And I wonder why I get worked up!!!! It always affects my head too but I think that’s because my head was my first trigger way back when it all started

I am with you. I know the intensity and the stress it brings. And the tiredness both physically and mentally. Distraction helps me but only to an extent.

I know what you mean. I also know what you mean by "over nothing", but I wanted to share what I did because that's what I learned from my therapist. I thought my panic attacks literally came out of nowhere when they happened, and she helped me realize that they're never random. Now I can always spot them from a mile away. Haha.

I always find as soon as I’m stressed the stress comes straight to my head and tummy I’ve always got a stressed tummy and head. It’s horrible. I have so much tension in my neck and shoulders.

I understand! I think I carry tension in my neck and shoulders most often as well. I also tend to get GI symptoms with anxiety, especially burping frequently.

What was your barney with the hubby about? I hate conflict and deliberately avoid it, including with my wife. I'm constantly biting my tongue because she's very sensitive and takes things personally very easily. I'd much rather have an easy life than deal with bad feeling in the house.
