Anxiety or my heart?

Lately, I’ve been dealing with chest pain, left arm pain, sharp pains under my left arm pit, shortness of breath, etc. and it’s scary. I often ask myself “is this just anxiety or is my heart and body sending my warnings that my heart is in trouble” I’ll get these physical symptoms when I’m not even anxious. I could be sitting down enjoying a movie or conversation with friends and I’ll get them and that’s what worries me. Anybody else deal with constant physical heart related symptoms daily? I got off meds in the summer but I’m seeing my therapist tomorrow and thinking of asking her for me meds. I know the last time I saw her she recommended lexapro but I hate meds and their possible side effects I was on Paxil 20 MG for 4 years

I am sorry to hear this. My biggest anxiety symptoms stem from my heart. Constant palpatations, racing heart, short of breath, and thats just day to day (not during panic attack). I went to a cardiologost and wore a 30 day heart monitor. Also had an EKG and ECG. ALL NORMAL. It is insane how our emotions can effect our heart so much. If it would make you feel better, see a cardiologist to make sure it is nothing physiological. It helped reassure me that it was all anxiety causing my symptoms.. hang in there!!! I take half a xanax maybe once a week when I get really bad, along with cbs gummies that really seem to help me. Best of luck!

I saw a cardiologist when these symptoms started in late 2015 and they did EKG, stress test, sonogram of my heart, chest X-ray, lung x ray and lung CT-scab, and blood work and all was normal

How long have you been going through these things? Quite a while, yeah? You're fine. It's hard to believe, but you are.
