Ughhhh, does anyone else experience this? I generally have health anxiety, but sometimes when it's not there or after I use my therapy techniques to manage it, I'll still have this lingering fear that I can't get rid of! Like the feeling in the pit of your stomach like you just heard bad news, or as if you're nervous for an upcoming presentation... except there's no bad news and no presentation. I can manage other physical symptoms through breathing techniques and grounding, but the fearful feeling never seems to fully disappear.

I guess that's the defining characteristic of an anxiety disorder (fear for no reason), it's just the physical feeling makes it so difficult for me to concentrate on anything else, even if mentally I'm not actually fearful of any diseases in the moment! If anyone has any tips or can relate, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I lived with that feeling for years and not being able to shift your mind from it sucks. Only things that helped me was a long term medication. It draws your attention away from it and will help your mind get back to a normal state of thinking. I tried CBT and everything but medication was the only thing that really helped me. A Benzo once and a while isn’t gonna take that feeling or that focus obsession away your mind takes time to heal

Yes for me it's always the worst once waking up.
