Acupuncture, like all alternative therapies, works for many but not all. It's a case of giving it a try. Acupuncturists work on what are called 'meridians'. That is the lines of energy that supposedly run through the body. Don't be surprised if you go there and they put needles in your feet for anxiety! When I had GAD it worked for me, at least it helped the symptoms. The needles are nothing to be afraid of as they hardly hurt. This is a Chinese based philosophy, and many in the West find it difficult to understand.

thanks ill try that but how does it feel??
hi! my friend also faced that experience and he follows some tips.
1)Apply heat or cold to the sore spot. Ice should be used for the first 48 to 72 hours, followed by heat.
2)Take non-prescription pain medications. Ibuprofen or acetaminophen are recommended by doctors.
3)Check that you have the right mattress or pillow.
thankyou legend

Yes, I believe it always advisable to talk to your doctor if you are on any form of medication. Some alternative therapies do not go well with prescribed medication. But acupuncture is not an oral remedy so it should be OK. Does it hurt? Not really. Just a little pin prick is all.
Please don't think that one session will work wonders. Any therapy takes time to click in so patience is required.
