Would brain tumor signs be obvious?

It’s my fear that something sinister is lurking in my brain. My forehead hurts when I press it. Doesn’t hurt really but there’s pressure after I’ve touched it. But nothing else really. I forget things but maybe it’s because I’m 49. I just worry about that one because it seems it’s always fatal…

Pressing on your forehead is going to cause some pressure / achy sensation. You can't manipulate a brain tumor by touching your skull. No, a brain tumor doesn't always cause symptoms, it depends on the size, type and location of the tumor. If you're concerned about it ask your doctor, but I'd be willing to bet you don't have anything to worry about.

Thanks for responding! Scary that something could be lurking and there aren’t always signs.

That's just life as a human. You could have one of many cancers, heart disease, brain tumor, ALS, etc and not know for some time. Acceptance is key: accept that these things happen, albeit it rather rarely (heart disease is probably significantly more common than the others I listed, statistically), and accept that you can't be completely immune to any of it. Take steps to reduce your risk, such as don't do drugs and don't abuse alcohol, do exercise regularly if at all possible, etc. That's the best anyone can do. Until you learn acceptance, you'll be held hostage by these irrational thought processes and behaviors.

This - brain tumours don't cause symptoms outside the skull, it's a thick layer of solid bone, the inside and outside are very separate.

I have tender spots all over my body, including my head. Had them for years and years, in fact I think it's the ones on my head that appeared first. Nothing bad has ever come of it - except for a mountain of worry of course!

Just my opinion. Tension can tighten the hundreds of muscles in your head forehead and face. That tension can cause soreness. I've been there

Brain tumors are my biggest fear too. I hope you're feeling better!
