I think a lot of people's anxiety manifests as unwillingness to engage, but I am having the opposite problem lately, I know it's time to call time of death on a couple of things and I am letting them drift for some reason...

Anyone else been there?

Apparently not...!

My NP situation broke down recently. The company rebranded their office so there were weeks their computer and even phone systems were inoperable (all fixed now) but what is worse, the company policy has changed. During my recent appointment the NP discussed none of it with me but apparently they automatically make multiple referrals now, and no longer check pricing or insurance coverage for the patient. Without a price I can't check coverage for myself or plan properly.

Fortunately here now I can order essential tests online for myself, and it's no more expensive than via the dr office.

I'm really disappointed in the NP though, we had a good working relationship before and she seemed more caring and interested in me as a patient, not now the case.

I had to end the relationship with my therapist too, I no longer felt heard or supported. Because we are supposed to engage with professionals to obtain best support and advice I did persist, but I think I've taken everything I can from the situations now and it's time to move on.

I was particularly disappointed in the NP's defensiveness at her new way of working, she was dishonest, saying she discussed all this testing and referring with me, which she did not even mention during our appointment. I can't afford it all, or to undertake things without knowing the cost, so I guess I am no longer any use to them!

I checked in with the NP, just in case all the strange referrals were a mistake, nope, it's their policy now although they have not been explicit about. The NP wrote 'a always make multiple referrals. It's up to you if you go.' which I did not think was a very caring or professional response. The change in company policy following the 'rebranding' has gone to a very extreme profiteering model. Feeling very disappointed, this used to be a really good NP and practice and they used to help me manage my anxiety disorder.

All my sources of support have evaporated lately!
