I just got the results from my 2nd urinalysis , first one was in oct , had trace microscopic blood so was told by my GP to repeat in 3 months . Well the 2nd one came back the same . I am panicking . I am trying very hard to not jump to the cancer conclusion but its very hard . Most of the obvious causes i don't have symptoms of so my mind goes to the other likely cause . Going to see my doc on thursday , she said she'd refer me to a urologist . Just scared .

I understand. Those of us with health anxiety always jump to the worse and start going down the rabbit hole. It is hard for us to remain rational. This is our anxiety taking over. Acceptance is the key. It is okay to be somewhat anxious. In the meantime, try to focus on something else, take a walk, read, watch relaxing videos.

Thanks Missy , focusing on anything else will be struggle right now lol . I will panic and freak out for a few days then hopefully settle down and start to think logically . But i will keep trying .

Can you get a referral without seeing your GP? Also, any history of kidney stones? I've been described by a urologist as a "stone former" and randomly have good in my urine because of that.

Hi Chase, no i can't get a referral without it coming from my GP . Thats just how it works here . I am hoping it's a kidney or bladder stone . I don't have pain tho , maybe a little on my right flank but not like how i hear about the pain people who have stones suffer from . But thanks for the info.

that happened to me in 2020. I got a call from my primary about a trace of microscopic blood found In my urine. Repeated it a week later, the same thing happened. I was so freaked out especially when he told me to see a urologist asap, That led to an abdominal and pelvic CT scan. Nothing was found and urine had been normal ever since. Even though I was scared and crying and posting here, the urologist was never worried and told me this would likely be inconclusive. It’s good that things are checked out in case it’s something more serious but try not to worry!! I know it’s easier said than done but this isn’t unusual! ❤

Thank you kammie !!! You have no idea how badly i need to hear something positive and yes , reassuring . We're all different of course , i hope my results are as good as yours . Doc just called me not 10 minutes ago to book kidney and bladder ultra sounds 1st before other testing so it put me into a bit of high anxiety . I'll try to focus on the positive ❤ .

I am sorry you are not feeling well. A number of years ago my friend urinated bright red blood for a week. It turned out he had kidney stones and was fine.
