Im a mom to a toddler and was wondering if there are other parents here to share tips on how they cope. It would be interesting to know how you cope with schooling. Im about to enrol my kid to kindergarten and just thinking about how i'll have to communicate with the staff and other parents creates a knot in my stomach.
How did you prepare for the first contact with the teachers?
How did you help your kid to adapt to his new environment without additional stress from your part?
How do you not transfer your stress to the kid?
How do you contribute to his school life ?
How do you not look ridiculous around other parents?.
And more importantly did you encourage your kid to make friends?
My greatest fear is that he wont adapt and he will turn into me. Please help.

Hello, my son is in 7th grade and I didn’t really suffer with anxiety when he first started school but now when I’m having anxious moments I just fake it. I don’t talk to a lot of the parents but I was never a mom who was all for play dates and making new mom friends but I’m sure your son will adapt just fine. Kids make friends so easily. I was a very talkative kid but I didn’t make friends really easily but my son I swear can walk up and just talk to anyone he hangs out with everyone. I don’t contribute much to the school anymore because he’s older but I went on every field trip in elementary school and would volunteer for class parties and stuff.
