Hi all, I have been bumping along all summer ... ended up in hospital for 5 days in July ... emotional break-down .... just couldn’t seem to put one foot in front of the other ... I was planning my son’s wedding for the end of July, had lots to look forward to yet and I just couldn’t see past my anxiety .... I spent 5 days in a safe environment and came out fragile but stronger... The wedding came and despite terrible stressful situations... it was beautiful..... I started to relax a bit but had my annual physical with the lab work and stuff that goes with that and now I am dealing with significant anxiety over the test results .... help me folks to get past this worry... I had a few elevated blood tests and also showed I have protein in my urine ... I am worried sick about kidney disease and feel myself falling into that “health anxiety hole” .... help!

You can have protein in your urine from being dehydrated, or if your period was recent! I've had it a couple of times, never meant anything major, and elevated levels can be completely normal for you, I have normal magnesium, but my Dr and I found out I actually feel a lot better when I take a supplement, it's just a baseline figure. If you're concerned, speak to your dr again and find out if they think anything is there to worry about, but I'm sure if there was, they'd have arranged follow ups! You'll be a-okay, congrats to your son, I'll bet you're incredibly proud ❤

Thanks for the support AriaRen, the wedding was beautiful.....
my anxiety always sees things in a “what if” ...catastrophic thinking way .... my Dr. has assured me that these results are just borderline and we can check again at next year’s physical.... but my mind ruminates .... over and over the possibilities of this being a significant illness...

Wow, how beautiful!!! That archway is my dream, haha, taking note for future I'm the exact same, constantly worrying that something is missed, or I'm the 1 in a million exception to things but I know deep down it's all my anxiety, drs have told me so many times, and I'm definitely no smarter than them it's just difficult in the moment to accept it. I was recently told I have a folic acid deficiency, and was put on tablets to help, but after a week or so I was quite worried, I kept seeing that people with cancer can have low folic acid and I got myself all worked up, so I called the dr again and asked if we could investigate the cause. My Dr is so used to me now, haha, he basically told me it's just my diet, I'm just unhealthy since taking the tablets I feel soooo much better, I should've just trusted the info I was given, because it all turned out fine ❤

I pray this is just temporary for you, and it will be. You got this. You’re a strong person, don’t let HA beat you.

I bet that if they took any member of the population at random and put them through a physical check up they would find something wrong. Nine times out of ten something minor. I doubt in the age in which we live anyone is 100% fit. The way we live, the food we eat, the exercise we don't get all contribute to feeling of being just that little bit under par. The more we get involved with medications and the like the more we dig ourselves into deeper holes. 'when in a hole, stop digging' is an old but appropriate saying.

Thank you So much for your logic ... it was mostly my kidney function tests that were out of range .... fairly high ... and my Dr. was not concerned enough to order more testing so I should let it go .... now if I could just get my worried brain to buy in to what my logical brain is telling me! I appreciate your great support! ❤
