Hello, how is the holidays going for everyone? :)

Hope you all had a good Christmas Day and your anxieties were kept at bay a little?

More importantly, how was your Christmas? From my standpoint, thankfully half of the holidays are over. We have a big snowstorm moving in tonight. It's hitting too soon to be a decent New Year's Eve excuse. As far as Christmas, I did fairly well on my anxiety yesterday and the food was great. The toughest part was having to watch and try to follow the intricate storylines of 2 Hallmark Christmas movies.

Oh Christmas is always a thing isn’t it? Too hard sometimes, too much expectations. My Christmas was quite nice actually. We spend Christmas Eve with my partners father, which was rather nice but tense as well. We spend the night on an air mattress that was squeaking the whole night. The partner of my boyfriends father is a literal horder so we slept between boxes.
Christmas Day itself was lovely we had a lovely dinner followed by games only with close family.

My anxiety still lingered, I even had to drink through the Christmas days. I'm not good with socializing with the family

Okay, this would stress me out, @Rinka . :) Sounds like you handled it well! I wanted to respond here because this was the first Christmas dinner/day in several years that I've made it through without severe anxiety attacks. Last year, I had to leave the room and 'hide' frequently to get through the day. I actually made it this year without letting anxiety take over - I did a lot of mindful processing of anxiety and calm breathing to prepare myself, and I actually enjoyed the whole time with family, even though the anxiety was there a little bit. I have been working hard on reducing the power of certain 'triggers,' so this was so encouraging because it felt like I actually made some progress.
