I guess ever since I saw this one story about someone from a tv show I watched dying of accidental drug overdose, I've been afraid ever since. My anxiety is terrible. Ao terrible that I ate oatmeal with monk fruit extract in it about three days ago and I literally have been waiting to get it out of my system before I even think about taking my Zoloft in fear they will interact with eachother. Especially since I've never had that extract before. That's part of why trying new foods scare me. On top of being scared of being allergic to it, I worry about interactions between my medication. This seems odd but of course I ask. Anyone ever eaten or consumed monk fruit extract and also been taking zoloft or a similar medication? I did ask my doctor but they don't respond on weekends. Usually I would just ask her. Despite her definitely being annoyed with me now.

You doctor would be very aware of what medications you are been given. So you will have no interactions. Important thing here is to keep taken your medication. You can't stop for a few days. Then take them again. Then stop again. This will mean they will never get a chance to work in the right way. Anything else you buy over the counter, ask in advance can it be taken with what you are on. Most over the counter things are harmless. If they were as great as they claim and as powerful you would not be able to buy them over the counter. Only a few might contain something that might interact with medication. So ask before you buy.

Monk fruit extract is a sweetener, there would be no reason it would interact with any medication.

How about you ask your pharmacist or doctor BEFORE you start eating/taking weird things... lol

The pharmacy I use is quite helpful on things like this as I have in the past had questions about interactions myself. I have also contacted my doctor’s office and they usually have a nurse on standby who can answer questions like this.

Have you ever had a reaction from medication?
