Xanax

Those of you that take Xanax how much do you take daily?

For the last few weeks I been taking .25mg twice a day, it helps just a bit.

My Doctor told me to take .50mg up to 3x a day or as needed and its got me worried, like I can't get it out of my mind lately, I'm so worried about becoming dependent.

Do I take the .50mg and get my anxiety to stop wrecking havoc on my body or take the .25mg twice a day and tough it out.

My Doctor also raised my Lexapro and its been about a week now...

My script says to take one .5 mg tablet daily, as needed. Xanax is a very short-term fix. For me, it might last four hours and then I could be back to where I started (e.g. feeling anxious). I would recommend therapy if you haven't tried it. Granted, it is not for everyone, but you may find some techniques to help without needing medication such as Xanax.

I am seeing a therapist, I have seen them twice now, I also see a psychiatrist on Monday.

I'm not sure how to make this round of anxiety to calm down, I have done it in the past without xanax but
for some reason this time its a bit tougher.

Also its my thoughts, I just can't get them to chill on the worry and it jumps around a lot from one worry to the next.

Used to take 1mg, 3 times a day. Was on them for 10 years. There were times I would take more. Because they do tend to lose there full effect after so many years. That was when I had to come off them.

1 day. My doctor simply placed me on a much higher dose of something else. Thus I simply stopped the Xanax. Once he knew the Xanax was out of my system and the newer medication was in my system, he began to lower the dose down of the newer medication. A smart doctor should be able to get anybody off it safely and without any problems at all. I simply went on the higher dose of something new and didn't take another Xanax. All sounds too easy. My doctor was a smart man. His methods worked.
