Wondering what to do

Hi everybody! I'm in a bit of trouble. I was treated for many years by a wonderful doctor in another town. I've since moved and there isn't a doctor or therapist to be found in my new town. I'm on a waiting list but this could take anywhere from six months to a year. To top that off, there isn't a family doctor to be found and walk-in clinics do not treat chronic illness. My only recourse is to visit the emergency department if things get too bad. My anxiety levels are extremely high, in that I can't seem to sleep and have panic attacks. My life just feels really horrible at the moment and there doesn't seem to be a way out of this. Medication would be ideal, but no doctor, no medication. If anybody has any ideas I'd love to hear them!

I would check with you county health and humans services dept.. They might have resources you haven't run into yet. I receive my medications, lexapro and klonopin via mail with my pharmacy taking care of the refills.

The problem is that I live in Canada. I can't pay to be seen and there are no private physicians. I'm going to phone community resources today to see what they have in the way of anything other than the emergency department, so your suggestion to see what is available locally is a good one. People here literally reach the breaking point before they are helped. I was taking Klonopin (called Clonazepam here) but that ran out about six months ago. Our system is running out of money... I got 45 minutes of sleep last night. Go me!

Hi Cassandra, I just want you to know you are not alone. I have also been struggling with panic, anxiety and depression. It can be so painful and isolating. There are many of us trudging this road with you
Is it possible to travel to a place with more Doctors/resources? I pray that you can get the medication you need
