Hi Everybody,

Just getting comfortable with Public Speaking has really been a journey for me, when I have to give a presentation, talk in a senior meeting or even in a speech its like my head just literally goes into animal mode and my body acts as if I have taken the latest speed drug, it's so embarrassing, the worst part is the hand shaking . This did not change even when I was giving presentations and stuff online.

The truth, what really helped me overcome it was practice , practice and more practice after then you can start to think about homing your skills, it's getting over that “fear” first which for me was the real challenge.

I like to think of it as swimming, first you have to get over the fear of the water before you can work on your olympic winning front stroke.

I really want to give something back and help people overcome this, it's become a passion of mind to try help and motivate.

So if you would like to practice a speech/Presentation or meeting with a “simulated” online audience get in touch, I can provide some tips as well. This is not a gimmick or anything, there are no costs involved.

I just want to help people get over this and you will also help me as I am working on a public speaking social anxiety online aid to allow all of us to get to enjoy the fear of public speaking.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Wow.. that's a great idea, no doubt. I have this fear. I get out of breath and my mouth gets dry and legs begin to shake. I forget everything i learnt. I just have one thing in my mind 'what are people thinking?'

Patience.

I know exactly how you feel, when I first started it was the chest palpitations that really impacted me and to top it off the shortness of breath, it's almost as if your body is preparing to battle a life or death situation.

But that's exactly it, there is no life or death situation, this is not 1 million years ago when loads of eyes looking at you meant you were being chased by a rival tribe for food!

It’s just to present data or information and get your point and hopefully convince the audience to agree with you and act!

I think this holds so many people back, it's self limiting and once you can release the doors of opportunity will open, I also think it will positively ripple in other areas of your life.

If you're interested would love to test the concept on you and let me know your feedback?

Thanks so much! What usually happens to me, I turn red as a tomato and stutter. I am naturally quiet but speaking in front of others makes me mutter under my breath. When I try to speak louder my voice shakes and I barely get louder at all! And then I feel faint in my chest and sick in my stomach. That might be an underlying reason why I love writing (well, typing. Writing is harder). It’s so much easier to come up with words when you’re not trying to look at 24 people’s faces at the same time.

Oh my the stuttering, I certainly remember that, I would literally forget how to pronounce a word then try and force it out and end up saying something that sounded as if I had come from another planet , once you get over that and start to actually get excited when you feel the fear (cause it never actually goes away) that's when you start to think more clearly and actually be in a position to defend yourself.

I like writing too, I tend to write emotionally as I want to feel every sentence I write but what I found (at work) is I would write things people would like it and then want to speak to me and it's totally different live or worse someone else would present it and get all the glory .

You really love your input and perhaps you can practice :) DM me and I will give you some more details, great to hear from you.
