Why do syptoms get worse at night

I feel fine most the day up until i lay down for bed. Now its chest pain. Wierd tongue sensations and pain. Feet cramping. Wth. It all falls apart at night.

I'm pretty much the same. I think that's when my brain isn't preoccupied with anything else so for some reason it starts my weird sensations and anxiety. I have been doing a body scanning meditation at night and that has helped a lot. Have you tried that before?

Yep, we're not usually preoccupied at night so we have more time to notice things that we otherwise may not pay attention to. On top of that, we're naturally tired at night, the body and mind are winding down. We have less energy to combat the intrusive thoughts. I've found that it's very common for anxiety sufferers, including myself, to generally have a harder time at night.

Sit or lie down in a comfortable position, preferably in a place where you won't be disturbed. Close your eyes. Bring attention to your toes, focus on feeling only the toes. Then move up to each part, ending at your head. So toes, feet, shins, knees, thighs, hips / waist, stomach, back, hands, arms, shoulders, chest, neck, and so on. That's actually a common grounding technique, and I've personally had some success with it.
I think the lack of sunshine also doesn't help. Sunshine seems to make me a bit more cheerful.
That happens for me sometimes, too.

You can also look up body scan meditation for anxiety on YouTube. Also this app called "stop panic and anxiety" is free and has some good stuff on there especially for me if I'm having a panic attack there is audio specifically for that where the lady repeats that i am ok and nothing bad will really happen even though I feel like it will. It hasn't before and wont this time.

Mine always seems to get worse at night. I have found the app Calm very helpful - guided meditation and relaxation exercised. I have also started listening to audio books as I am falling asleep or if I wake up in the middle of the night. I find it helps me to focus on something else and lessen my focus on any anxiety.

For me, I definitely think it's the stillness of night - everything is quiet and everyone is asleep. If my health anxiety is flaring up, I tend to hyperfocus on symptoms, obsessively searching for answers - trying to go to sleep after that is no fun, I have to come down from it by watching TV.
