I can't stop it. I feel anxiety when I'm with my closest friends, with my family, with strangers, with acquaintances...I feel awkward, I start stuttering and I sometimes panic. I try to cope with it by acting (I have a passion for theatre and it's the only thing I'm good at) different roles basing on who I am with. But now I can't recognize the real me anymore. Help me, please

U really need to speak with your parents! Please explain to them what you are going through. They can help you. Trust me I've been threw this in my teen years as well. Reach out to them and get the help you need. Don't wait any longer.

Also, I have to leave my country for a week for a school trip in just a few weeks. It's not the right moment

You can help yourself by accepting that what you are going through is normal IN THE CIRCUMSTANCES. So called 'normal' people suffer anxiety when going for tests or physicals. In anxiety the feeling is there but greatly exaggerated. Everything in anxiety is 'normal' but it's the exaggeration that gets to us. You may not be able to calm down, but you can accept it all as how you are at the moment but won't always be. We often get phases in anxiety where everything seems to be abnormal and where fear seems to take over. At the moment your brain is sensing danger from the thoughts you are having. It is behaving normally by putting you in the 'fight/flight mode. This is something we have inherited from our ancient ancestors that enabled them to run away when danger threatened, and as such is normal. The failure to recognise that normality is what sends us into a spiral of anxiety.

You have raised a profound philosophical question. 'Who am I?' We are not who we think we are! When we are born the recorder is switched on and we take in everything around us. As we get older and become conscious beings we are inundated with ideas and concepts from other people, some good some bad. The ego begins to develop and takes over so that the purity of thought leaves us and is replaced by false ideas and premise from those around us. In basic terms we are 'brainwashed' into believing we are something we are not. It is as if we are in an attic with a blazing light, our true minds, but it's covered in layers of blankets. Our job in life is to remove those blankets (false ideas and concepts) so that the light can shine forth and so help others along the way. How can this come about? By questioning everything and deciding on its veracity. Is it true? Is it a truth I can go along with? How does this belief affect me psychologically? What effect is this belief having on my life? Over the entrance to the Oracle at Delphi are the words 'Man, know thyself'. A profound three words that are so important. Do we know ourselves? Christ said that we must become as a little child to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. No concepts or preconceived ideas. No dogmatism or arrogance.
Anxiety is brought about by conflict in the mind. It's as if a tug-of-war is going on pulling us this way and that.
We live in a world of opposites, good/bad, light/dark etc. The Ying and the Yang. We are like the weight on the pendulum of a grandfather clock, swinging this way and that, back and forth between emotions. The place to be is at the fulcrum from which the pendulum moves but is not affected by the movement. It can watch the weight swinging to and fro but is not moved by it. Be an observer in life. Watch it all happening but see it as you would a movie knowing it's all smoke and mirrors.

I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. It sounds like you're carrying a heavy burden. Start by giving yourself grace it's okay to feel this way. Consider seeking professional support to explore these feelings. Practicing grounding techniques like deep breathing or mindfulness might help in the moment. You're not alone, and the real you is still there it's just overwhelmed right now.
