What did you do today?

No rain here today. Shock, horror. Bit of exercise. Which is just a long walk really. Then some model building. Still figuring out this latest model. The instructions are useless. Got the full base of it done after I copped how it all went together. I shall mull over the second section tomorrow.

I spent the day home with my daughter. I did small chores and some organizing. Contacted work about my leave of absence. Hope to cook dinner then watch a movie with my family.

Not a lot done here today at all. Bloody rain was pelting down all day and still is. Just put some music on and relaxed.

I started off my day with a gym exercise, then went on for a 30 minute bycicle ride. Spent an hour studying about electricity at home and then tried a meditating session in the evening to practise mindfulness. Finally I met up with you friendly people in the forum.

I am not going to bother you with all the details in-between but overall, I hope I made some emotional progress during the day. Just got to keep following it up!

It was a nice and sunny day here. I ran errands this morning and sat in the sun for a few minutes. Also started to read "You'll get through this " by Max Lucado.

More about yesterday than today. Is too early to write much up about today. Got a lot of building done on a model I am working on. Very big model. Actually standing up building it. The day started off vadly. But having the model to work on was my distraction. Lot of cogs included with the model for working parts. So they have to move in the right way or you may as well go back and try and figure out where you made a mistake. I shall be doing more of the same later today.

Today I worked on a computer at a library, went grocery shopping, then went to a general store and ate a cheeseburger for lunch.

Managed to get out for a while. Had been raining when I woke up. Raining? It was pelting down. Snow and sleet in some parts of the Country. Strong winds as well. Then completed the model I was building. More just build these things for the building challenge. This was a motorised tower crane. Thing is huge. Come the end of this build everything on the crane had to work. Or else you made a mistake. Cogs, levers and other things you would see on a crane that move along the arm of the crane. Now it is a bit of relaxing time on the computer.

I went to the gym today for a short time. Many anxiety help books suggest exercise to combat anxiety and hopefully after some time the workout will benefit me. Continued to write in my journal and bought some candles for the house. I bought my daughter a special dinner and look forward to cooking some more tonight. Hope to end the day with reading a mystery novel.

I think it has jumped straight from Summer to Winter here. Bloody freezing out there today. By 1pm the it was so dark. Looked like it was going to snow. Still went out for a walk. Well wrapped up for the weather. Odd how you always pass the one person with just a t-shirt on top. Trust me it is far from t-shirt weather. Then it was back home for some reading and a bit of music. Tend to watch things on the computer after that. Stuff I download. Also browsing various sites looking for my next model to build.

I worked today, and today was actually quite productive. I feel really good about that. My son was supposed to be here this weekend, but he seems to have caught an illness that's been going around. We've all had some mild sickness here recently as well.

After work today, I did some extra cleaning around the house. Moving furniture and such. Hanging with the fam. Went to the store for a few small items a while ago, then got home and ate dinner.

Discovered a minor problem with a ceiling fan in the house. It's mounted on a box that was designed for a light fixture, not rated to hold the weight / vibration of a fan. Unfortunately I'm not comfortable (yet) performing such a repair, so currently looking for someone around here who is qualified to take care of that.

Normal day in the life of Mr Nobody. Was out for a good while. Bitter cold still. Met an old friend and we spent about 45 minutes talking. Bit of retail therapy. Bought a new hooded top. The same road always leads back home again. Back to the room I like to read and listen to music in. Then I swap rooms and watch the odd thing or two on the laptop. Bit of an odd house here and we don't actually have a TV. That was by choice. We both gave our TV sets away to some charity. Truth was we never used them. Funny that all charities only accept flat screen TVs these days. Kind of amuses me. I get they are trying to keep things modern. People want to give you a TV and they would refuse it if it was not flat screen.

Few days without rain. So out every day over the past few days. Mainly just go for walks. Nearly always end up in a book shop. Buy a few books. This morning it is back to rain and wind again. Probably be a day of finding things to do in the house.

Today I helped out at an arts center in a nearby village. They received a truckload of about one hundred chairs that me and a half a dozen other guys helped unload off the truck and bring into the center. It took us about an hour. Went well.

3D jigsaw of a Globe that I built recently. Great fun building these types of Jigsaws. By far one of my favourite ones to date. Comes with the stand and you can spin it around all you want. Looks good on display too.

i got a vasectomy yesterday so today i laid low and watched a few movies, wrote some notes for some music i have to learn and otherwise did my best to "take it easy" (which is something I'm really bad at.)

For supper I cooked myself some hamburg patties that were a little spicy but not real spicy.

Now I'm just chilling out on the computer. I think I'll listen to some music a little later on.

Today I met with colleagues and described how I need their help on a project so that we can make an aggressive deadline. It was heartening to see their willingness to help, and they offered some improvement ideas. Best of all, they accepted it when I turned some of the ideas aside. I don't have formal authority over them, so their willingness to take direction from me was pretty great. When I got home, I took my daughter to a boot camp fitness class, and did a group workout myself. Then I went home and made some dinner for everyone and walked the dog. Not bad for a day that started with me really not wanting to get out of bed.
