A fictional account of three Gen Xers basically sharing an existence adrift.. It was authored in 1991, so this would've been the stereotypical Gen X' slacker lifestyle happening in it's prime.
Writing is well-paced. And the author compiled a funny & insightful vocabulary of slang on some of the page margins..
If you're nostalgic for coming of age in the 9os, or wanna understand it better.. this is a decent read.

The jigsaw man

Serial killer work of fiction. Body parts begin to show up. Time to solve a crime.

A first hand testimony on living with Irritable Bowel Disease. There are clumsy and heavy-handed moments where the author drops in Left wing politicizing (like categorically praising Obamacare, etc). I thought those threads were unnecessary & annoying, but that aside.. Miller tells a very compelling & sympathetic account of her ordeal with an intestinal disease.

A collection of essays, written about the culture and love for the (American) South. The essayists are a cross-section of political commentators & activists, cooks, Southern Nationalists, etc

This one might be of value to fellow forum members.. a guide to harnessing your subconscious mind, for healing/overcoming mental & physical ailments.
I'm about 50 pages in, and seems legit so far.

Enjoying this one at the moment. Is all comic strips. War based. Comes in close to 800 pages. Very thick book.

I saw you were replying to a Stephen King post.. I'm actually reading his new 'Fairy Tale'. It's very slow developing.. not bad. But very detailed in it's backstory. I've had it for a couple weeks, and still have about 200 (of almost 600) pages left.
