So I've been wanting to go to the doctor for the longest for issues I've been having. Mostly some random pains in my abdomen and pelvis. I've been trying to not be so anxiety ridden over it, but it's been hard. I have more panic attacks out of my sleep lately. Especially at night because of that pain. Along with vertigo after I take my pills. Its so worrying. The pain is either small, dull, achy, or sharpness. Its even happening now but its sharp. Finally got to the doctors.. basically like every other doctor encounter. Acts like she's never seen a hypochondriac before. She even had to ask me what one was. Acted like it was odd that I knew what drug interactions were. Basically ya know, whatever. She said it was pre menstrual cramps and I explained I never felt that before. She said to wait and if it persists to check back in. I waited, and I'm ony period not but I still am feeling the sharp pains. All she did was order a urine test and then tell me to take pain meds for my period cramps.

I don't know. She also said it could be a minor cysts, which scares me.
Still wasn't too clear. Point is it scares me not knowing. Anyone else have these types of pains?

Trust the doctor, they're the expert in the matter. I see nothing at all wrong with your doctor's assessment.

Do you have a primary care physician? Finding one you are comfortable around and can see regularly would be helpful. Mine is pretty great as far as understanding anxiety and explaining things to me and calming me down. He also is never shy about running tests to ease my mind. Just seeing someone that knows your medical history and is familiar with you can go a long way in abating your fears

I have a pcp but still looking for a good one. A better one. Though finding a doctor who isn't somewhat passive aggressive to my concerns is pretty hard.

It might be helpful to explain what’s going on early in the process. That’s what I did. Let him know that I had health anxiety, sometimes I will want to be seen for something that’s probably unfounded nonsense and if it wasn’t something he felt confident dealing with that I was happy to keep looking for a doctor. I just didn’t wanna be dismissed, I needed to understand what was happening. And he’s been great about it. Anxiety is basically a medical condition, just have to find a doctor that will treat that aspect of your health professionally. Took me a while to find one but I’m glad I did
