Weight loss even though eating

Guys, has anyone experienced weight loss even though eating food. Is it possible for the people with anxiety?

I am a hypocondriac, I also been diagnosed with general anxiety, panic attack. I am anxious for the most of the times like about last 3 months. In this time of period I lost weight and saw that still I am losing.

Please share your experiences and ideas.

There are many reasons that you could be losing weight even while eating enough. Have you recently cut back on carbs, processed sugars, and/or foods with a lot of sodium in them?

Cutting down on carbs and sugar will make you lose weight and eating less sodium will make your body retain less water (so even though you aren't losing fat you weight on the scale will be lower).

Hi Alekis. When my anxiety is very high I can't eat at all. When it's at a reasonable level I eat like a horse or pig or whatever. Just a huge volume of food for my size and I never gain weight. I've just assumed that somehow anxiety itself burns calories as it sure is exhausting.

Triceps is right - we don't eat as well when we're anxious. And anxiety can really mess up your gut lining as well (intestines, etc.). When your gut isn't healthy, you don't absorb your food properly and it can cause issues like diarrhea, weight loss, fatigue, etc. AND - it causes more anxiety. 90% of your brain's serotonin is actually produced in your gut. So you just feel BAD. Have you tried adding a good probiotic to your diet to see if it helps?
