Last night I had too much to drink. When I woke up 6 hours later I had what I can only describe as strings of pearls that were perfectly straight almost like the lines on a sheet of paper in my vision. It was in my entire field of vision. It only lasted for a few blinks when I woke up and then it was gone. I managed to fall back to sleep eventually and when I woke up again a little later it was there again and lasted only for a few seconds again. Has anyone had this? I’ve had ocular migraines and dealt with the flashing zigzag lines but this was different. Kind of like visual snow but instead of it being scattered it was in straight lines.
This is kinda what it looked like

Sounds like you may have experienced sleep related hallucinations. They’re brought about by various things, including anxiety, stress, fragmented sleep and I believe certain drugs, of which alcohol is one. One type hallucination occurs upon drifting off to sleep, while another occurs in the process of waking, in that coming to consciousness phase. They typically last mere seconds, like yours did. Sounds like you experienced the latter.

You can look them up. Fancy medical terms for both. Importantly, while scary as hell, they’re totally benign. I’ve had both, including recently the other day for the first time in 3 years. Not fun.

Well it happened again last night. I woke up and laid there for a minute with my eyes closed and when I opened them I seen it again. Trying really hard not to panic.

It’s still happening every morning. I’m wondering if it’s because of the Flonase I’ve been taking for a couple of months. It has triggered ocular migraines for me in the past. I’m not going to take it today and see what happens. ‍‍ I really hope it clears up because I feel myself slowly going down the rabbit hole again.
this is what it looks like now.

We can all have various things in our line of sight when we wake up. Ever squeeze your tired eyes? The things you can see. All various shapes and things like that. Same can happen when we first wake up. Some people have floaters. Like something is moving across their line of sight. Others have things that are not moving. But only last till we shake that sleep off. They are harmless. I am sure if you squeezed both your eyes in a gentle way with your fingers, things would get dark and you would see various shapes. Is very common.
